Wdefon Trek style.

How can I work on makin' a Wdefon status display? I'd like to make one with the Star Trek codes and conditions (similar to yours). However it wouldn't be just like yours. Hope you can help. Crash Underride 00:46, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

All you need to do is create the template with all the variables in a userpage subpage, for you, it would be User:Crash Underride/Wdefcon. You can follow my example here. When you are done, just add it to the gallery page. Feel free to contact me if you need any more help! --FastLizard4 (TalkIndexSign) 02:21, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. What my idea is, is to make it shorter, remove the image on the side. Make the whole thing change color. And to also make it longer with rounded corners. Kinda like a section of the alert lights on Voyager. I don't know if that will help any. lol. Crash Underride 02:29, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
I could do it, but I don't really have the time. However, my template does change color, and the image can be removed quickly enough. However, you will have to actually make it. --FastLizard4 (TalkIndexSign) 05:02, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I figured as much. Let's see if I can give you a better visual. About as long as your's, however with rounded corners, and the whole thing will change colors, with the text over top of the color, with it just sayin' the condition or alert next too it. Does that help with a better visual? lol The only reason that I'm tryin' to give you a visual is because I'm not that good with syntax. Crash Underride 14:06, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Like I said, I simply do not have the time to really create a new one now. I am learning three different programming languages, I admin for four wikis, and I admin/develop the ACC tool. I might be able to find some time in a few weeks or so, if you are willing to wait. --FastLizard4 (TalkIndexSign) 02:39, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah I can. I can peddle around and see what, what all I do does. Until then. Crash Underride 03:20, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

I need help. Someone vandalized my page big-time with a big floating message. The problem is that I cannot find the code so that I can erase it. Any help would be greatly appreciated and may even result in a barnstar! Wyatt915 20:24, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Some POV stuff

Flizz!! How cool - or uncool - it is, if an alumni of a college who is not involved with the college in any way anymore:

  • Makes substantial edits to the article.
  • Does cleanup and general improvement stuff on the article.

Appreciate your reply :D Lucifer (talk) 18:59, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

It would be easier to say if I could see the edits, but as a generalization, it probably isn't. --FastLizard4 (TalkIndexSign) 02:10, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Its SVIT ... and the editor is me :P. Lucifer (talk) 04:18, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Meh, I don't think that it would be POV as long as you don't touch something regarding opinion or add yourself to the staff list or something :P --FastLizard4 (TalkIndexSign) 04:31, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Now you are just tempting me :P Lucifer (talk) 15:57, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

RE: A note regarding ACC

My apologies, I actually meant to drop and ban that user temporarily for recent vandalism but forgot to do the latter, looking at the logs. Although, do you suppose vandalism on the 28th/29th June is recent enough to deny an account? —CycloneNimrodTalk? 08:29, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

I wouldn't ban for vandalism more than one week before the request, as that is the unfortunate nature of dynamic IPs. --FastLizard4 (TalkIndexSign) 08:33, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Question

Since you seem to be an experienced editor and administrator, and you do very good work, I was hoping that you might answer a question for me. One of the main pages that I work on is Piedmont College, mainly because I'm a student there. One of the things that I have been working on in my spare time is a history of Piedmont. So far it is over 10,500 characters (I have more to write, and then lots of editing for grammar and such). My question is would it be better to add it to the Piedmont College article, or should I start a new History of Piedmont College Article? What would be your recommendation?

Thanks RandorXeus (talk) 19:53, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

I would agree with Acalamari (on your talk page). However, please note that I am not an admin on Wikipedia, I am an admin on the ACC tool. --FastLizard4 (TalkIndexSign) 00:47, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
I never did thank you for your response. I decided that the article was just too long to add to the Piedmont College page. It was almost longer than the page itself, so I created the History of Piedmont College page. And I'm sorry for the misunderstanding about your adminship. Thanks again for your help. RandorXeus (talk) 05:34, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

RfA question

Is it true that if there is only one vote in Oppose or Neutral (or Support for that matter) the bot wont register it correctly unless theres atleast one reply?

And man, your talkpage is as God-Awful mess :P Lucifer (Talk) 14:46, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Meh, I don't care about the mess :P As for the RfA thing, I don't think so - what screws up the bot is having an empty * in one of the vote sections. Of course, such a bug may exist, but I haven't heard about it. --FastLizard4 (TalkIndexSign) 19:07, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay. Someone had mentioned it somewhere, when i was looking for dramaz. Also, i've seen some "X:0:0" counts on a page when actually there has been a single oppose or a neutral. But that just may have been a lazy bot. Thanks for the help again :D Lucifer (Talk) 20:47, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Account Creation Interface

Hey, don't know if you're the correct point of contact for this, but can you tell me why I'm suspended on acc? I assume due to inactivity? tgies (talk) 02:52, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

You assume correctly. If you don't use the interface for over 45 days, your account is suspended. Assuming that you wish to start using it again, I have unsuspended it. You should now be able to access it again.
As for if I am the correct point of contact, any of the admins (first section of this list) are suitable point of contacts. If it regards software and requires developer attention, any of the bolded names in that list are suitable. Cheers, FastLizard4 (TalkIndexSign) 03:31, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

Hello, A few weeks ago, you denied me access to the account creation interface on the grounds that I do not have enough edits. I have now reached 500 edits, as outlined in the templated message, and would like to reapply.
Thank you, and wishing you a merry christmas,
~-F.S-~(Talk,Contribs,Online?) 19:57, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

I am still going to decline, because it seems that you have gotten just over 500. I also said you should wait a few months to become very familiar with Wikipedia policy. Also, based on the way your archive box is set up above, I am not too sure you are familiar with how everything works. Wait a month or so, build up a real edit history, and ask me again.
