Userpage[edit]

Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to User:FellowWikipedian. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Betacommand 17:25, 17 April 2006 (UTC) [reply]

Wow, Betacommand, it's his user page and he's a newcomer. --ElectricEye 14:21, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to see work being done on any music topic (it's a soft spot for me..). However, I encourage you to use the userbox on your page as outlined here. For an example of how I've used it in the past, you can check out What'd I Say or the example on the WikiProject_Album page. Thanks and happy editing! ••\\/\//esleyPinkha//\/\\•• 21:57, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I will take that info and see what I can do! FellowWikipedian 22:10, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Preview button[edit]

I noticed that you made 24 consecutive edits in 12 minutes to American Inventor. I wanted to remind you that when editing, you can use the "Show preview" button instead of the "Save page" button to preview your changes without actually saving them yet. In this way, you can make and check all the changes you want to make to the article before saving. Once you've made all your changes and checked that everything looks right, you only have to hit "Save page" once and all your changes will be saved in a single edit.

Multiple consecutive edits by a single editor in a short span of time clutter of the page's history and flood older edits off the first page of the history. Also, every edit you make shows up on Recent Changes, where other editors check incoming changes for vandalism; saving dozens of tiny edits instead of one large edits creates extra work for those on RC patrol. Basically, you may wish to consider using the "Show preview" button to preview your changes, and only Save when you're finished editing the article for now. 4.253.47.180 13:03, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Next time I will use the show preview button. Thanks. FellowWikipedian 11:51, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your Signature[edit]

I would highly recommend, FellowWikipedian, that you alter your signature to either a) use the standard signature, which gives Coordinated Universal Time or b) change your signature so it says (UTC-4) instead of (UTC). Your signature is confusing as it states, incorrectly, that your local time is UTC. I'd go with option a) for fixing your signature because it eliminates all confusion. joturner 01:10, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, please use four tildes (~~~~) to insert your signature. You can go to the preferences link at the top of any page to modify your signature. If you get into the habit of doing this instead of manually adding a signature, then when you are not logged in, you won't make the mistake you made on Talk:Main Page today. - UtherSRG (talk) 15:21, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking[edit]

Please do not remove content from Wikipedia; it is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Pilot|guy 23:45, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am not removing anything from my page. FellowWikipedian 7:49 pm 25 April 2006 (UTC)

GAR!!! This is getting out of my hands. Anti-deletionists have said I'm anti-Canadian, but I have a feeling they're all sockpuppets of Keith Marlowe or an associate. Since you are Canadian (according to your userpage) I'd like you to help me resolve this dispute. Thanks in advance. M1ss1ontomars2k4 02:16, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should keep the article. I will add more info. They probably are all sockpuppets of Keith Marlowe or an associate. FellowWikipedian
Hey. I joined about 3-4 months ago, just trying to do my part and add some relative history to Brian Mulroney, Keith Marlowe and Peter Mackay. Just curious....if wikipedia keeps voting 'Keep', can someone just keep adding the tag to delete it inperputity? As in---we'll keep having to doing this over and over again. Blogger82

Image:Image-Wikinews-logo.png listed for deletion[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Image-Wikinews-logo.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.
Sorry to hear you're having so many image problems. I'm listing this as its a dupelicate of image:Wikinews-logo.png (Or more specificly commons:image:Wikinews-logo.png) (now speedied). Also Image:450px-Ottawa 5 db.jpg. Bawolff 23:07, 4 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I will see if I can get it back but if it's deleted that's okay. FellowWikipedian 15:04, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just a thought[edit]

Hello! Just thought I'd mention, and it's possible it's deliberate, in your 'places [you'd] like to go someday' you have both the flag of Britain (the Union Jack) and the flag of Wales. However, Wales is in Britain. Possibly you meant England rather than Britain, in which case the St. George's Cross may be of interest to you. It just seemed slightly puzzling, that was all. Maybe you're making a political point.

Happy thoughts! Skittle 09:06, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. I will change it to the St. George's Cross. Thanks. FellowWikipedian 19:17, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know[edit]

Saw this and don't know if it was you not logged in or the IP playing a trick [1]. Just thought I'd inform you - especially in the light of the comments on the IP's talk page. Sophia Gilraen of Dorthonion 12:43, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That is my IP when I am not logged in. Also there are lots of vandals on that page it's not me putting them there. FellowWikipedian 19:20, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Keith Marlowe[edit]

-Did you see the discussion page recently? I guess the truth comes out. I always KNEW there was some sort of political hatred going on there--that was the only explanation. Anyways I posted some comments there---I think we may finally be getting to the bottom of this whole thing, and quite possibly opening up the article to make it better without all these damn edit wars!--Blogger82 15:37, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to respond so late. I saw the discussion page not a bad job this time. FellowWikipedian 19:36, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like the war b/w some people are coming to an end, but not sure about the Ameria Idol or BowRiver75--not sure if they're all one and the same person, or if they're different people and they're choose to stop. In any case, I'm still not sure that the edit war is coming to an end just yet. Maybe a couple more days, then we can add the stub? What do you think?--Blogger82 14:45, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, but we still have to wait mabie a week. Let's just be careful. FellowWikipedian 14:46, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Archives[edit]

Copied from User:GeorgeMoney's talk:'

How do I get my archive box to look more interesting like yours? FellowWikipedian 20:49, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You really should ask nathanrdotcom, because he was the one who made it. I copied this post to his page. --GeorgeMoney T·C 21:53, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll edit your talk page so that you'll have a User:FellowWikipedian/Talktemplate that will be included at the top of your talk page (when you archive, make sure to keep this on your talk), that will include the first bit of what's on your talk now (without comments) and a link to archives as I have them (change the colours as you like later). — nathanrdotcom (Got something to say? I did not know how to get the link for wiki stress. I thought it was on Wikipedia. FellowWikipedian 23:03, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I googled for it and it was on Meta. Wikistress exists here but it redirects to the page on Meta. — nathanrdotcom (Got something to say? Say it.) 23:12, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay I will google it next time. FellowWikipedian 22:13, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The template on your user page that says You have new messages (last change) fooled me. I thought it was a message for me. FellowWikipedian 22:15, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You have to press "hide/show" 3 times for it to work. --GeorgeMoney T·C 23:20, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why? FellowWikipedian 23:21, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think there is a bug in it. Look. It starts out as "hide" then you have to click that, then it says "show", then you have to click it again for the archives to show. --GeorgeMoney T·C 23:31, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... that bug seems to be affecting only this certain page. Wierd. I'm gonna try to find out why, if I may. Mopper Speak! 23:41, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sometimes it works. FellowWikipedian 02:16, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Show/hide does not work properly on Internet Explorer. Never has, probably never will. Works fine for me here. — nathanrdotcom (Got something to say? Say it.) 02:22, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I will have to get Modzilla in the future. FellowWikipedian 02:23, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I found MediaZilla. I think this is it. I might be wrong. FellowWikipedian 02:25, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Give me feedback on this under a headline. FellowWikipedian 03:27, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for blocking that evil vandal. FellowWikipedian 02:07, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't block him. An admin did. --GeorgeMoney T·C 02:15, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Can only admin's block? FellowWikipedian 02:15, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Only admins can Block, Delete, Restore, and Protect pages. Read More: WP:ADMINS --GeorgeMoney T·C 02:19, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh okay. I did not know that. FellowWikipedian 02:20, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If regular users were able to do admin-like things, there would be chaos. — nathanrdotcom (Got something to say? Say it.) 02:23, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I guess so. FellowWikipedian 02:23, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Smile![edit]

Hey, GeorgeMoney I like it better. FellowWikipedian 03:14, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not that I didn't like nathanrdotcom's. FellowWikipedian 03:17, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With regard to your request to have the above page deleted I'm afraid this is not possible: it has valid warnings on it from reputable users and these should be kept as an accurate record of communication with that IP. I have removed your request from Wikipedia:Speedy deletions. -- Francs2000 01:03, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's okay. FellowWikipedian 03:15, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will you join My Picture of the Day? The reason I have it, is so images that aren't Featured quality can still be featured. Anybody can put a picture there. All you have to do is pick a day for your picture, and create a page in "User:GeorgeMoney/Month DayNumber, Year". Then, use the following format: Put {{SUBST:User:GeorgeMoney/potd/template|image=Your image.jpg|width=500px (optional)|description=<an optional description>|size=250px (optional)|user=Your Username}} on the page of the day you are creating (Remember for all of the optional variables that you don't use, totally remove them from the syntax). Then all you have to do is put {{User:GeorgeMoney/potd}} on your userpage, and it will automatically make the picture for the day. If you want to have it show your picture forever, put {{User:GeorgeMoney/potd|May 47, 2009}}. Replace "May 47, 2009" with the day your picture will be on.

Also, can you add your name to My Spamlist? Don't worry, my spam isn't bad and annoying like the Esperanza and Community Justice spam. My spam is just news and events in plain text formatting like this.

Thanks, --GeorgeMoney T·C 02:12, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This sounds realy cool. Thanks for signing me up for the Spamlist. FellowWikipedian 03:20, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:250px-Queen of canada.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:250px-Queen of canada.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 22:38, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summaries[edit]

Hi...noticed your work in welcoming newcomers. Thanks for doing that. On another note, don't forget to write something in the "edit summary" box to help other users know what you are doing. I usually just type "welcome" in that box when doing welcomes. Best, Kukini 21:59, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to say that, I will archive my page in a couple of days. FellowWikipedian 02:11, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My name's on it because I was the overseer of the last round. Rune.welsh is on it as the previous overseer. The other overseers are on long term wikibreaks at the moment (some probably permanent) so that's why they were not put on. I didn't create it though, and can't say I'm terribly bothered who officially signs it :) There will be a new round starting at some point (as yet not determined) point in the future- so keep an eye out so you can sign up if you want.
