Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Myspace or Facebook for people to write about themselves. It is a different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography. The links in the Welcome message above will tell you more about Wikipedia. regards, JohnCD (talk) 14:11, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on John Ridge Fernando requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on John Ridge Fernando requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Speedy deletion of your recently created article[edit]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. I see that your recently created article (is it on yourself?) is nominated for speedy deletion and in fact may be deleted by the time you read this. The reason it was nominated is because it had no references. Any article on Wikipedia has to meet our guidelines for notability here. In addition, there are additional guidelines for notability of musicians here. While everything you said in your article may be true, what is true is not what is important here. Instead, the standard is what you can prove is true. To show both notability and verifiability, you must have reliable sources referenced in your article. I have left you an invitation to a place on Wikipedia called the Teahouse. It is a place where you can ask about all these confusing policies I have mentioned. Good luck in the future and happy editing. Gtwfan52 (talk) 03:38, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --Fernando John Ridge (talk) 03:40, 16 September 2012 (UTC) I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW CAN I CREATE MY ARTICLE!![reply]

Please read all of the above warnings--the point is that you do not create an article about yourself on Wikipedia, especially if you can not provide sources to support your notability. Of course, you're free to write about yourself on your user page, or on a blog, but not in article space. 76.248.149.47 (talk) 03:44, 16 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
