ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

To be honest I rarely approve A7 requests - the bar to a credible claim of significance is very low, much lower than notability. By definition, a page promoting its subject will have made a claim of significance, so G11 is more likely to apply. In this case, there was already a suspicion of undisclosed paid editing when the article was moved to draft, but the creator removed the COI tags and pushed it back to mainspace it looks like four times without addressing the concerns or making any significant improvements. It was clear they were intending to write an advertisement masquerading as an article, and for me that intent also meets the definition for G11. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 10:59, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

@PhonecianRhythms: The word "commemorate" is already used in the sentence (During this incident, six individuals were attacked during a ceremony commemorating the Dresden bombings, an event often celebrated by the German far-right).
