Image[edit]

Yesterday the image was from the show's opening credits. Today it's back to the same old boring FR text. Unless there was a copyright violation, I don't see why we can't use the Futurama image. Captain Jackson 17:48, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There was a copyright violation. Fair use images are not allowed in userspace. —Nightstallion (?) 07:41, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Code[edit]

I have changed the WP in alienese to FR to fit with old text better. Feel free to discuss if this needs changed or this is a better concept. --WillMak050389 06:27, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this change. —Nightstallion (?) 11:17, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I got the background on the image to be transparent now. --WillMak050389
I seem to have problems displaying this image. On the image page (Image:FR for Futurama Userbox.svg) it's displayed as white FR on gray background. In the Futurama userbox I only see a completely white recangular. After saving it to my PC: it's displayed in the windows picture viewer as white rectangular, but in my HewlettPackard picture editor as white FR on black (not gray) background. I'm using winXP and IE. Can someone explain this? Maybe the transparent background? I would prefer it when the FR were visible in the userbox. --Bisco 16:05, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There we go. I put in a purple background that matches the surrounding box (although I think the red and kind of aqua-ish green [the color of the ship] would fit the template and the show better). Also, could someone tell me what code I put in my userpage now so it shows up? Silent Wind of Doom 17:53, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for the "new" picture. Looks great! Copy and paste this code: {{User:Feureau/UserBox/FuturamaGoodNews}} --Bisco 18:39, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I still have problems displaying the picture. It keeps getting completly white in the userbox. Also on the image page it doesn't show the purple background, it has like before gray background. Did you (Silent Wind of Doom) use the transparent picture for the new background or a completly new picture? --Bisco 03:31, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've uploaded the picture again after editing the last picture in MS Paint (changing the background to purple). It shows the picture now with the purple background on the image page. I hope this resolves the problem permanently. --Bisco 04:06, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The new picture worked only for a short time. Then it showed the gray background on the page and the white background in userbox again. Therefore I've reverted the image to the last version by Silent Wind of Doom. But I only see hope if we would use the first uploaded picture without the transparent background. Or someone would make a new picture from this first one. --Bisco 04:43, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've recreated the whole image in Microsoft Paint. It's a bit smaller (height 275 instead of 300) and the letters look slightly different but I hope you all don't mind. I've uploaded it (we can always revert if someone objects). --Bisco 06:01, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ideas for new colors[edit]

I think to use the colors of the ship is a good idea. Like this:

FR Good news, everyone! This user is a fan of Futurama!

--Bisco 18:39, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With red text:

FR Good news, everyone! This user is a fan of Futurama!

--Bisco 06:19, 7 October 2006 (UTC) The background in the picture could also be red. --Bisco 11:57, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Someone has changed the blue color in the infobox to green. So I changed the background in the picture and the id-box to red. Current version:

FR Good news, everyone! This user is a fan of Futurama!

--Bisco 10:46, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think about changing to red text/border/picture background and green text background? It would resemble the ship colors better i think. The svg.file would have to be updated with red background but that would only be a matter of minutes.

FR Good news, everyone! This user is a fan of Futurama!
