Topic choice assignment[edit]

The emotion topic is way too broad of an article to tackle, so I would not use that for this assignment. Self-fulfilling prophecies isn’t quite as a broad, but I think it may also be a bit much to tackle for this project, given how well-developed the article already is. The triangular theory of love is a good topic, but you may have more difficulty making a substantial contribution to an article that is as fleshed-out as this one, especially given the limited scope of this particular theory. I would suggest looking at the social psychology stubs and psychologist stubs for some articles that need more work. Also, when you refer to another article that’s on Wikipedia, you should link to it by using this mark-up: Self-fulfilling prophecy. Click on “edit source” on this page to see the mark-up I used to create this link.Gseidman (talk) 20:24, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article feedback assignment[edit]

I did not understand your suggestion that the authors of the article “For example what did the experimenters find when attempting to prove white supremacy and how did they conduct the study”. Also, remember that an article on prejudice should focus just on that, negative feelings about a group. Some of your suggestions seemed more in line with an article on stereotyping (beliefs about a particular group). Remember that suggestions for articles should be highlighting important things that were overlooked; suggestions should not be to broaden the scope of the article to include other topics already covered on Wikipedia. Also, you should always sign your posts by typing four tildes.Gseidman (talk) 20:24, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Adding a reference assignment[edit]

Please look at other Wikipedians' responses to your addition. It appears that they aren't sure what precisely you were trying to cite. Based on the format, it appears that you were trying to cite several different articles, all of which looked at the same topic, at the same time. Therefore, you would need to add several references, each one with a separate ref tag. Then you would have to include the full citation for all of those different articles. In your edit, you did not include the citation at all. Please revisit the handout and video tutorial on our Wikipedia cite that explain how to add references.Gseidman (talk) 01:34, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
