Proposed deletion of International matzo bri cookoff[edit]

The article International matzo bri cookoff has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a cookoff that does not assert notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Debating[edit]

Thank you for your feedback in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/IONA Debating Circuit - since you are a (ex-)debater - can you help with finding any reliable sources on debating - I am having a lot of trouble finding anything that can be used to support claims made in articles ? Codf1977 (talk) 13:53, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with "sources [that] are only availible to ex debaters/ active debaters" is they are no good for WP as everything said has to be verifiable with out that it cant be added to, or kept in a WP artical. What about the "found articles about this not specificly mentioning it by that name." can you post links to them back to the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/IONA Debating Circuit page, because without them we don't know what to rename the page to.Codf1977 (talk) 14:08, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
have you got access to anything else ? Codf1977 (talk) 17:18, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the new refs - I have replied to the AfD - but none of them support the name of the artical, or for that matter show it meets WP:GNG with the significant coverage in WP:RS Codf1977 (talk) 16:28, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but you last edit to the AfD was in the middle of another comment, I have removed it, if you wish to re-edit it then feel free. Codf1977 (talk) 16:57, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry but I do not understand what you were asking on my Talk page with this edit ? Codf1977 (talk) 16:06, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry - Yes it did - have a look here but in summary the article did not meet WP:V requirement. Codf1977 (talk) 16:11, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Firl21,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
