Welcome![edit]

Hello, Firstmagnitude, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  ---J.Smith 20:29, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. –BMRR (talk) 17:07, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up on the outdated NASA information. I hope a solution can be found.  — TimL • talk 23:45, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your User page[edit]

A more appropriate place for the information on your user page would be the talk page for the Solar eclipse of August 21, 2017. With your permission I would like to move it there, or you may of course do so yourself. Cheers.  — TimL • talk 17:23, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ha, good timing. As I was writing the above you posted it to my talk page. Thank you.  — TimL • talk 17:25, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Maximum duration[edit]

"Wikipedia does not mention the United States Naval Observatory's (USNO) findings http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/Eclipse2017.php They have a maximum duration of darkness at 2 minutes and 44.6 seconds" I'm not seeing a maximum duration listed on that page. Am I missing something? Thanks.  — TimL • talk 18:03, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 04:49, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
