NWT[edit]

Your edits at New World Translation have been reverted (again). Among your edits were unsourced commentary,[1] and changes to quoted text.[2] Both of these actions are highly inappropriate. (In the latter case, I have removed the part of the quote that was subsequently contradicted by court transcript.) Your claim that the supervisor of a team would not know the members of the team is also dubious,[3] and your edit summary didn't reflect what was actually claimed by the source anyway.

Your reordering the reviews based on your own assessment of whether they are favourable[4] was also problematic (and your assessment of HarperCollins review as 'unfavourable' is bizarre). Various reviews indicate some good and some bad aspects of the translation, and don't necessarily reflect your personal opinion of them. You also seem to have mistaken the sense of critical as in a critique for meaning unfavourable.

There were also other minor problems with your edits, such as Title Case of headings.--Jeffro77 (talk) 08:46, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you.--Jeffro77 (talk) 11:52, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Bishonen | talk 13:07, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that you have learned nothing from your recent block. It should be quite obvious to you that there is no consensus for your edits. If you believe changes need to be made, you need to discuss at the article's Talk page.--Jeffro77 (talk) 07:17, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 18:37, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
