I don't know why people keep deleting the section about Moon driving the car into the pool. It happened, we were there, we took a photo. Please stop erasing history.

1. I have new photos I took of Michael Moore filming his new documentary on Wall Street, I'd like to post them but his page is locked.

2. I'd also like to correct an error: his bio says he was born in Davison. Since there were no hospitals in Davison in 1954 when he was born, this would be rather difficult. Additionally, his family is Catholic and as such he was born at St. Joseph hospital near downtown Flint. But don't take my word for it, he states all of this in his movie "Pets or Meat" - I have a copy of this film and will be happy to upload the video where he says it.

These are facts, not opinions or speculation, and that's what Wikipedia is all about, right?

No problem. The page is only semi-protected, so I think you should be able to edit Michael Moore. I can't see why not? Your account should be autoconfirmed? If you can't, please give me more details of the error/message you are getting, below. I'll watch this page. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  19:12, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Correction - just checked, and now I understand! You've only made *exactly* 10 edits; placing the message above was your tenth. For your account to be autoconfirmed requires 4 days (OK, Sept 08) and 10 edits! So - you should be autoconfirmed now, within a few hours. So please have patience for a few hours, and you'll be away! Cheers!  Chzz  ►  19:16, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lots of reliable third party sources (reproduced) on Michael Moore's website say he was born in Flint and raised in Davidson, a suburb. [1] I am going to change the article. Dynablaster (talk) 19:57, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Works now! Just made the edits to the Moore page. Wikipedia is now more accurate than it was before! I also just learned how to make multiple refs point to the same place with "ref=name" - Cool stuff! Flintmi (talk) 19:43, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nice one :-)
Couple of notes;
  • If you think an edit might be 'controversial', discuss it on the article discussion page ("talk page") before you make it.

Welcome[edit]

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!
