Artists who produce notable work establish notability. Three NRHP listed properties are listed as well as other significant architectural works. The NRHRP filings often have good coverage of the architects involved as well, although they aren't always available online. But he meets the creative notability for his work. FloridaArmy (talk) 00:03, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Maybe, but there still need to be enough sources to write more than a stub of an article about the subject. I can't find the sources online, and they are not cited in the draft. Maybe you can find some such sources in books or offline resources. Thank you for your efforts toward this article. Jehochman Talk 00:06, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
I added two NRHP docs with extensive coverage of his work. Seems a little redundant to me since the relevant Wikipedia articles are linked but c'est la vie. If you don't like the article being short, please expand it. FloridaArmy (talk) 00:10, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

User:Curbon7 that's what the source says and should perhaps be in quotes. I don't have anything to add to it. Seems borderline to me but having handled some notable works, having his publishings in several major collections, and having some decent albeit not great coverage seems to me to be enough. User:Curbon7 I disagree on this one. He was a major union leader. Congressional hearings about his being a Communist organizer. And his wife is a notable folk artist with very substantial coverage in reliable independent sources. This emtry is where she's covered on Wikipedia as of now (or not covered as long as this entry remains in draftspace). Someone who accesses old newspapers will certainly find coverage as well. He was an important union fugure in 1940s into 1950s when he was discharged after being gone after for his alleged involvement with Communist groups. Not to mention he is from an underrepresented group and was a leader during the segregation era. Entry needs attention amd expansion in mainsapce. FloridaArmy (talk) 12:21, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi FloridaArmy, I'm looking at your draft at AfC now. Is there a reason you've submitted it to AfC rather than created the article yourself? In any event - the article already exists as a redirect, so it might make more sense if you deleted the redirect and just copied the content there. The AfC helper isn't allowing me to approve your submission. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 11:26, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

User:Kohlrabi Pickle I have an editing restriction that requires me to use AfC. FloridaArmy (talk) 11:32, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
In that case, would you mind if I copied the text on the AfC onto the existing article? (assuming your editing restriction doesn't permit you to do that) I can't create a new article on top of an existing one... Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 11:34, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
