Wikipedia requires a neutral point of view[edit]

@Forgottenoperasingerslover: Hi there - I removed two of the statements on the Bevignani discography section because they are subjective statements. A fundamental rule of Wikipedia is that articles have only a neutral point of view. As the guidelines (at WP:NPOV) say:

Avoid stating opinions as facts. Usually, articles will contain information about the significant opinions that have been expressed about their subjects. However, these opinions should not be stated in Wikipedia's voice. Rather, they should be attributed in the text to particular sources, or where justified, described as widespread views, etc. For example, an article should not state that "genocide is an evil action", but it may state that "genocide has been described by John X as the epitome of human evil."

You can read more at WP:NPOV. Stating that a soprano had a "perfect technique" will always be an opinion. If someone has written something that says "Bevignani had a perfect technique" you could use that only as a quotation from the source, not as a fact. File permission problem with File:Ayres Borghi-Zerni.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ayres Borghi-Zerni.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

You must source your articles[edit]

Hi and thanks for the articles you are creating about opera singers, but I must remind you once again that you must provide a source for the information in them. Wikipedia requires verifiable sources. Please read Wikipedia:Verifiability and for guidance. Nunù Sanchioni which you have recently created is a case in point. You must have got the information that she was born on 17 September 1908 in Cairo from somewhere. Where? You need to list that source in the article. I've added a couple of sources to that article now, as I did for Olga Simzis which you also created with no references or sources whatsoever. Voceditenore (talk) 14:41, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
