"Fast light" in Wikipedia[edit]

I read the Help Desk section you added about a possible new "fast light" article and two responses to your note.[1] The first response points out some problems that might occur with creating such an article. Personally, I'm currently neutral on whether such an article should be created.

The second response, by @RoxySaunders:, mentions the title of your 1970 paper "Measured Pulse Velocity Greater than c in a Neon Absorption Cell" and suggests that the phenomenon is currently covered in Wikipedia in a short section of the Faster-than-light article called "Group velocities above c".

Regardless of whether a new article will be created, perhaps you would be willing to review that "Group velocities above c" section and suggest or make corrections and additions to the section. If you're feeling energetic and adventurous, you could try editing the text yourself, but you may find that frustrating in various ways, not least of which is running into the not rare action of editors removing what you just spent effort putting into the article.

Easier would be if you could share your expertise by beginning (and later conversing in) a new section of the Faster-than-light article's talk page. There you can suggest changes to the "Group velocities above c" section, and if well received, can recruit editors to actually make the changes to the article.
