Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Freedominwriting. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. twotwofourtysix(My talk page and contributions) 23:13, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that WP:COI also affects any articles related to the prson you're affiliated with. For example, you say that you have a conflict of interest with Draft:Adam Bowers as a Senate candidate; this also means that you have a conflict of interest with the election article that he's running in: 2022 United States Senate election in Alabama. This means that you should not directly edit the article and you should use {{request edit}} instead. Lastly, do not edit war with other editors over the addition of this candidate, especially one that you have a conflict of interest with and especially without engaging with other editors, addressing their concerns of not adding a reliable source. If you edit war any further, you may be blocked from editing. twotwofourtysix(My talk page and contributions) 01:09, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
