License tagging for Image:Anne bray.jpg[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Anne bray.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

LA Freewaves: a fixup solution[edit]
I noticed that your aticle has been tagged as an advertisement. I decided to read the article as it was prior to the tagging, and yes, I see Kungfuadam's point. The first section of the article sounds like a history as given in a pamphlet, or something like that, while the Festivals section does seem like it advertises the individual festivals, rather than providing a brief history of them. However, this situation can be changed, with a simple rewriting of the article. If you wish, I'll assist you here. As I see it, the article should be like this (note that this only demonstrates how the article should be structured; as long as you roughly keep to it, you'll be fine):
''LA Freewaves'' is a [[Los Angeles]] [[media arts]] and [[new media]] program. It was founded in 1989 by Anne Bray. etc etc... == Freewaves-administered Festivals == === Festival name === Give the year(s) of the festival, what it demonstrated, and its history. Keep it brief! == References ==
I also strongly suggest you try and forget much of what the site says, and keep solely with the facts. This, I admit, may take some time. When you've written the article, submit it immediately to Peer review, and let them instruct you further. This may prevent you from making any previous mistakes. The copyright infringement, however, may be harder to sort out. The article rewriting may solve part of it, however, you might need to put a written permission note up indicating that the information garnered has been made available to you under fair use; I'm not sure. --JB Adder | Talk 16:49, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

That's okay; however, if there are specific statements that have been taken from certain sites, then link the reference points from which they came. This can be done using two tags:

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
