Just thought you might like to know EastEnders are giving us a change to ask Nina Wadia questions like with Cheryl Fergison the other week. Any ideas what we could ask? The deadline this time is Wednesday 27 May. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 10:48, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Oooh, cheers, I shall put my thinking cap on and see if anything crops up :) Frickative 10:59, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
They've also done Charlie Clements since this but I didn't ask cos we never come up with anything anyway :) AnemoneProjectors (talk) 21:33, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Ooh, I'll go and have a read - I haven't read the Nina Wadia one either, come to think of it. Great work on the Ferraira article, btw, I read it all the other night & found it way more interesting than they ever were on the show! Frickative 21:39, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. It is more interesting than they were! Do you think I was right to go for GA? AnemoneProjectors (talk) 21:51, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
I hadn't seen you'd GA nominated it, but definitely. It's broad in coverage, well sourced, and hopefully it'll be an easy pass :) Frickative 21:57, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
I hope so. It'll be my first GA and written almost entirely by meeee! AnemoneProjectors (talk) 22:45, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Anything you'd like to ask Neil McDermott about his role in EastEnders? :) AnemoneProjectors (talk) 16:41, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

I'm a terrible fan, I had to search to find out who Neil McDermott was then :p Nothing springs to mind, but I'm staying with my obsessive EastEnders fan of a brother for a while, so I'll grill him later :) Frickative 22:02, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
This isn't a BBC thing but a Digital Spy thing. I'm following @soapscoop (aka Kris Green) on Twitter and he's interviewing McDermott soon, tomorrow I think, and asked if anyone had anything they wanted to know! I should ask Gungadin too. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 12:25, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
Ask him what his character's surname is. Ask him if he's single and str8. Ask him if he likes blondes. Ask him if he'll marry me :) GunGagdinMoan 14:22, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
lol! That's terrible! We'll find out the character's surname anyway. He's bound to be on the official website. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 14:44, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
Ask him about the audition process then. Ask him about the character's background.GunGagdinMoan 14:53, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
Would you like to know how big his willy is too? :) AnemoneProjectors (talk) 18:49, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

No!!!! I might get disappointed with the answer, it could ruin the fantasy somewhat if we were to discover that he was hung like a wasp. lol GunGagdinMoan 19:03, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Oh my, I take a week off Wikipedia and this is what I come back to! I'm scandalised, naturally :p Frickative 01:04, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Understandable mitigating circumstances. Good of them to let you carry on watching EastEnders though :) Frickative 20:27, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
They're big fans of soap operas up there, you know. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 20:32, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I bet. Especially when they've got one of their own in the show. Frickative 20:37, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Please help! :):)

Hi, Mellisa! We haven't spoke for a while, but you know me, always asking for help. Ok, sorry if I bother again, but I really need help right now.

Like you know, I am improving the GA's season articles, and I am still stuck with the season one, because there are so little information about it on the internet, I explore every site's archive I can find, so I can find some valuble information about the season and the show itself. OK, to get to the point. I need help from you to improve and expand the reception section in the Grey's Anatomy (season 1) article. I somehow found some information on net about the ratings and stuff and I put some of them into the article. Ok so please you are very wise and skilful with words, and I think that you can make this section better than me. So please. Put first information about what were people excepted from the show before its premiere and than about the block buster first episode, the surprise about how big the ratings were and than a small review of the reception of the hole season. Please, when we'll complete this article I will have a guide on makeing this articles and I'll probably won't bother you again.

Please... And can you also see the Crew section I add recently, I really don't know what to put in her. And one more thing what do you thing about adding a section were the season will be retelled. Just the most important stuff. Also some of the information you'll use in the reception section it can be used for the main article.

Here are the sites that helped me (some of them are added as refernces into the reception section but some of them are really useful but I couldn't find a way to add them somehow. Sorry again for bothering you. ---Max(talk) 14:45, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey Max :) Just a quick reply so I'm not leaving you hanging - I've not been feeling too well this week so I'm not online much atm, but I'll take a look at the page as soon as I'm up on my feet again & do whatever I can :) And it's never any bother to hear from you! Frickative 17:17, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, I am happy to hear that. And not to worry, take your time, its nothing that important. Enjoy, the article can take it. Just get well. See you soon. :)) —Preceding unsigned comment added by SmartM&M (talkcontribs) 10:41, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
I've just spent a couple of hours on the article, and I think between the two of us, we've got it looking pretty fantastic compared to how it was a few months ago :D I tweaked the Crew section slightly based on the Lost season articles, and the Reception could do with some more reviews, but I think I remember finding some before, so I'll take a look later. With regards to a section retelling the season, I think as far as possible we should try and do that through the episode summaries, and maybe a short summary in the lead paragraph. If you think the episode summaries need a bit more detail, by all means pad them out a little :D I was most pleased by finally finding ratings for individual episodes! We should be able to get them for all the seasons from the site I used, which is great. Oh, the whole Awards section needs referencing, but I based it off what was in List of awards and nominations received by Grey's Anatomy, so we just need to find nomination lists on the official sites, or news articles supporting it all. I think that's all for now, keep up the good work! Frickative 21:18, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Its great, you did a very good job, I am speechless! =) And, I am so happy that we've finally accomplished something. With this article almost done the work on the rest of the season articles will be a piece of cake (considering the fact that the Writer's blog is opened in the season two and onwards. To answer you questions, yes, I think we should expand the episode paragraphs and also add a very short summary at the beginning of the section. I'll try to expand them on very interesting way, you know with hints and "sexy" words but again to tell the most important stuff. I'll also take care of the references at the awards section, that's at least I can do. And yes if you like you can expand the reception section (but I think that is magnificent and it could stay that way :)). And I can't explain how exited I am to hear that you found ratings, Finally! I would really appreciate your opinion about what to do with this article, should we make the episodes summaries hidden like they are here and here too. One more thing, I am working on this article too, I know its not very good but I am still working on it, its based on some GA articles from the same type. And I was asking should we change the title in or Characters in/from Grey's Anatomy or List of Grey's Anatomy characters or maybe something else? And finally, where I can find a GA article for a TV show cast, I really want to improve that article too. Please don't fell obligation to reply me, I can wait! I think that's all for now, thanks for everything you did and are still doing for me! Thanks! ---Max(talk) 14:57, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Hurrah, to say I've never really significantly edited a season article before, I'm glad this one's turned out so well :D With the reception section, looking over the articles I found, most of them were commenting on the pilot episode on its own rather than the series as a whole, which is a shame. I'll see if I can work some of it in anyway, but if not, there's a lot of good stuff in particular about Sandra's performance as Cristina that can go in her character article. With the episodes list, I think yes, we probably should follow the Smallville and One Tree Hill model - it would seem a bit redundant to have identical episode summaries on that page and on the season pages as well. With the character article, it's actually a lot like one I've been working on for a long time - List of characters in Holby City. I used to think otherwise, but lately I've come round to thinking that a rename to 'Characters of Grey's Anatomy' would be best, because that way it will eventually be GA eligible, whereas lists can only become Featured Lists, and hard as I've tried to find a good TV show one as a model, I've never come across anything particularly helpful. As for a TV show cast GA, I think because most of those tend to be lists, they'd be at WP:FL... Aha, yes, typing as I search here, sorry :p There's a subsection on there for cast member articles, although none of them seem ideal as models for the Grey's page. List of cast members of The Simpsons is probably closest to useful, but it has a much bigger cast on the whole, I think. Hm. There's also List of Lost (TV series) cast members which is similar to List of Harry Potter cast members, but none of them are really ideal for our purposes. I'll let you know if I come across anything else that might be useful, in the meantime I think I'm going to start editing the episode list to bring it closer to the Smallville one :) Frickative 18:31, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey, sorry for taking me so long to answer you. You made an magnificent job with the seasons' articles and the cast article! Its absolutely magnificent. Its great, I am speechless. About the cast article I was thinking that we could use the Harry Potter model, but I thought that it wouldn't suit well, because you know Harry Potter and Lost have thousands of characters, but Grey's don't, but know when its done its GREAT. I am happy. I also saw the link you found about ratings, and its great. I am so exited that we finally found one, as I mentioned before :D. OK so keep on the work I'll try to help as much as I can, and once we finish the seasons, the cast, the character article we can move on to the the character's article (that about Cristina sounds great, I also run into great articles, because she is a interesting character I was sure there were plenty of them). And finally the information you found about the first season can be easily used to add useful sections to the main article, like 'Concept', 'Idea', 'Production' etc. I AM SO EXITED! We finally have done something (how many did I said that already?) :))) ---Max(talk) 12:14, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Max! The cast article still needs a fair bit of sourcing, but after spending so long putting it together, I think I need to take a bit of a break before looking at it again!. It's great we're finally making real progress, though, and if I get chance this week I'll try and finish off the Izzie article I started weeks ago :) Frickative 22:02, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
You've done a great job. So I'll try do some stuff, and keep them from vandalism and curios users. And It'd be great to finish the Izzie Stevens article, great! Ok so, I think that's it for now. If I have any questions I'll tell you and If you done something like Izzie Stevens tell me, I'll be glad to here that! Regards ---Max(talk) 18:33, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Well, bang goes my chances of being able to write the article; the plot summary is my favourite part of article writing! Just as well; it gives me more time to focus on rewrite of the RTD article; any thoughts about it so far? Sceptre (talk) 01:46, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
Ach, sorry! If I'd known you wanted to do it I'd have left it alone - for some reason I just enjoy condensing excessive plot detail far too much. The RTD rewrite is looking fantastic, it makes for a really interesting read. I notice that you've questioned the necessity of a 'Personal life' section - I'd probably be inclined to include one just to be sure of hitting the comprehensive criteria. As I say though, fantastic work :) Frickative 01:04, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Betty Turpin

Sorry about the late reply on this one. I had to get my scanner working. Maybe some casting info can be drawn from the first page I scanned. Duno if it can help but take a look. I uploaded the two pages onto mediafire, so you will have to download them from the links. I did this because when I uploaded them to imageshack and photobucket they compressed the images so the text was unreadable. These are full page views and you can zoom in. pic1 and pic2. In the book there is a 3 page spread about what the tabloids and media said about ken, deirdre and mike's early storylines so that could be of help to Ken's criminally poor article. Hope those two i uploaded are of some help btw. =) Raintheone (talk) 20:15, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Hey, thank you so much! The scans are great, I'll get the info added into the article asap :D The stuff on the tabloids sounds really good, especially seeing as none of the newspaper sites online seem to keep archives going back more than a couple of years. The book I had hold of was The Women of Coronation Street, which was good but a bit dated given that it was written 15 years ago. It's a shame that with the exception of those that are still in the show (Betty, Deirdre etc) or those that were iconic figures (Hilda Ogden, Bet Lynch etc) there's just not really that much potential to improve most of the older articles. Ah well. The articles for a lot of the more recent characters are looking great, btw! I assume a lot of that is down to you :D Frickative 12:35, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Help with Fernwood?

Could you take a look at Fernwood, Nottinghamshire? Until I created it, there was no article at all; and compared to Balderton (which you've worked on), there's still pretty much nothing. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:03, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Sure thing. It might be difficult to track down a decent number of sources, as Fernwood has only existed for a few years, but I'll see what I can do. Frickative 14:58, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Glee

Hey, just wanted to let you know you're doing a great job on the Glee articles! I think you should look into nominating a few of the episode pages for GA! :) CTJF83Talk 19:28, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Thank you! I had been tentatively considering nominating the pilot episode article for GA, so I think I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. Cheers! Frickative 14:29, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
If you need assistance with anything, let me know. CTJF83Talk 18:08, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Do you think Glee is a comedy? Perhaps we should remove comedy from the lead, and have it say drama. CTJF83 chat 20:21, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
The Fox press releases all seem to bill it as a comedy (or a "genre-defying new musical comedy series" which seems somewhat oxymoronic.) But as we have it now, "American musical comedy-drama television series" does seem a bit awkward. I'm not sure how it'd best be re-worded though. Frickative 09:43, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
Ok CTJF83 chat 00:06, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Does Sue teach anything, or just coach the Cheerios? CTJF83 chat 19:21, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
I don't think it's ever been mentioned that she teaches anything. I would assume she does, but I think all we've heard about is the Cheerios. Frickative 21:33, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
For Mattress, it says "Will steps down as club director, as his detachment from the team will allow them to compete". From what I see, he just isn't going to the competition, did he actually step down from coaching them? (Also, why not just pay for the 1 mattress and return the rest....I guess that wouldn't be as "exciting" to the plot). CTJF83 chat 09:21, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Also, none of the sources say 22 total episodes or 9 new ones. I'm not sure if you added those or not, so I've removed the numbers or have put in fact tags. I'm not trying to be a pain, just trying to make Wikipedia as accurate as possible :) CTJF83 chat 09:37, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Hm, I'll re-word "Mattress" a bit, the plot was so illogical I knew that I'd fail at conveying it properly. Also, huh, thanks for pointing that out! I thought I'd read those press releases properly, but I'd never noticed before that they actually don't specify how many extra episodes Fox ordered. Other sources definitely specify a back nine [1] [2], including one quoting Kevin McHale first-hand [3]. Are any of those acceptable, do you think? The Entertainment Weekly one I wouldn't think so, but Variety I imagine would meet WP:RS. Zap2it not so much, but given that it's first hand from a cast member... Eh, I don't know. If you don't think any will fly, I'll just take out the references to a 22 episode season and change references to the back nine to the 'remainder of the season'. Frickative 17:32, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
The variety one looks great to me! :) CTJF83 chat 18:49, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Also, there seems to be an issue with the correct name of the episode [4] CTJF83 chat 18:51, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Gah! I hadn't notice they'd titled the recap that. There's a conversation on the article talk page about it from a couple of weeks back, but I thought they'd settled on Mattress seeing as the schedule called it that [5]. There's definitely legitimate reason to move the article to "Once Upon..." if the official site is calling it that, but at the same time, there seem to be only 5 news articles using the longer title [6], compared to 61 using the shorter one [7]. I guess both titles should be mentioned in the lead, but what would you recommend? Leaving the article where it is and beginning: '"Mattress", also known as "Once Upon A Mattress", is the twelfth episode of the television series Glee.' or moving it and beginning '"Once Upon A Mattress", also known as "Mattress", is the twelfth episode of the television series Glee.? Hm, Fox really don't like to make things easy. Frickative 19:04, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
That's Fox for ya! LOL, I'd say leave it as Mattress and have the aka Once upon... The official press release just calls it Mattress. I'd say as a tie breaker, see what the DVD calls it when that comes out? CTJF83 chat 19:26, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
That sounds good to me. Thanks! Frickative 19:34, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
I'm very pleased with the work you're doing. Great Job!! More GACs? CTJF83 chat 19:50, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Thank you! I'm thinking of nominating "Wheels" once I've finished the reception section, because it's got a lot of good production stuff, and I'd like to get a few more through during the 4 month hiatus. I was considering having List of songs in Glee peer reviewed with an eye for WP:FL, but I'm uncertain because its a bit of an odd topic, so I haven't found much to compare it to. Frickative 20:26, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Wow! Those are both great pages too. GA for all episode pages by April? :) CTJF83 chat 20:29, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

I have total faith in you, most are close to GA, let me know if you want some help! CTJF83 chat 21:02, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
For the featured music, should we remove what the main glee kids don't sing, ie on Sectionals? CTJF83 chat 07:07, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
I don't really like the way it's been set out for "Sectionals", with the duplicate entries for "And I Am Telling You...", but Fox list the other schools' songs on their music recap page so I think it's okay to include them. A couple of the Vocal Adrenaline songs were singles IIRC, which is probably a good argument against limiting the list to just the main cast.
On a different note, what do you think of splitting off some of the entries from Characters of Glee into independent articles? I think some of them meet the GNG well enough to warrant it, but at the same time I can already imagine it encouraging people to try creating articles for characters that definitely don't, eg. Artie, Tina, Mercedes etc. Frickative 08:20, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
I think we should split them off...I'd say the first 6 at Characters of Glee, with the probable exception of Terry, probably Kurt and Puck, and possibly Quinn? What do you think as far as specifics? CTJF83 chat 08:27, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Oh, and Vocal Adrenaline did a whole song (if i remember correctly) the two rival schools on Sectionals only did part of the songs. CTJF83 chat 08:28, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
I think the first six is a good call, though I would be inclined to include Terri. I think of all of the characters, Terri and Sue are the two that have received the most coverage by critics, even if Terri's has been overwhelmingly negative. I haven't come across much significant coverage of Puck & Quinn as of yet, but there is a fair bit for Kurt with the development & reception of his coming out storyline. I don't know, perhaps if we just go with the first 6 to start with, then see what can be made of the others once they're sorted?
And you're right on the songs, but then the list also includes pieces from the main cast that we only heard a couple of lines of at best - Rachel's "What A Girl Wants", "When You're Smiling" etc. I quite like that the list is so comprehensive, but perhaps it might be beneficial to add another column indicating whether a studio version was recorded, as a rough indicator of which were the major performances? Just a thought. Frickative 09:00, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Ya, that's a good idea, perhaps an * for songs that are studio recorded. The first 6 are fine with me for character breakoffs. I've only skimmed what is written, and was basing my list off of how much they appear in the show. But if Terri has a lot of outside coverage, she definitely needs to be included. CTJF83 chat 09:05, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
What are your thoughts on this? CTJF83 chat 21:34, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
I'll go and weigh in over there, thanks for flagging it up :) Frickative 08:33, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Hi, Over the last couple of days I have created a page for Heather Morris (Brittany) as she seemed to be one of the few cast members without a page. Do you know if there are any Glee related templates I should add? Thanks. Ruevian (talk) 05:23, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Hey, great work on the article :) I think it was decided some time ago that TV show-related templates should be kept out of actors' articles, as any one actor may appear in dozens if not hundreds of shows over the course of their career. That said, there are a few extra categories you could add - , , , are the ones that come to mind. Happy editting :) Frickative 16:45, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll add those categories in. Ruevian (talk) 00:18, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Glee!

Hey, sorry for the procrastination. Yeah, as I made the edit, I thought, "Uh oh, how do we set guidelines for this?" Haha. The four filler characters (cheerleaders/footballers) have been in basically every episode. Meanwhile, Tobolowsky and Aspen have not, BUT they definitely should be recurring, I feel. At the same time, I can see the criteria for listing them as a guest star in the infobox; imo though, the infobox desperately needs a separation for guest/recurring, don't you think? It would be so much more efficient.

For now, I think Tobolowsky, Aspen, and other minor cast members who have been primary figures (family/friends/school staff, etc.) should be listed in a "Recurring" section within episode articles, perhaps. How's that sound? This way, we give them the attention they deserve. They're likely going to be featured again and again and should get precedence over one-episode-arc (or potentially more in the future, a la Kristin Chenoweth) characters. Glad to be working in tandem though, and not edit warring!--Cinemaniac86Dane_Cook_Hater_Extraordinaire 00:50, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for getting back to me. I agree, it would be good to separate the infobox into guest/recurring, though I can't actually figure out a way to do it at the moment. I'm not very technically minded, though, so if you can see an easy way to do it, please go ahead! I did think - although not all the articles have a "Production" section yet, with those that do I usually list the songs performed in the episode, and in some I've also listed notable guest stars. It would be fairly easy to include recurring cast members there; something like: Songs performed in this episode are "U" by V, "W" by X and "Y" by Z. Recurring cast members who appear are Naya Rivera as Santana Lopez, Heather Morris as Brittany, Dijon Talton as Matt Rutherford... etc. Quite a few of those sections are short on information as well, so it would also be a way of helping to flesh them out a bit. I'll give it a try with the article for "Wheels" which I'm working on at the moment, and if it works okay then cool, and if not then it can easily be changed up a bit :) Frickative 03:51, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
PS- Thanks for rewriting the "Fandom" section of Glee which I added...it reads much better as you've edited it. :o) 38.109.88.194 (talk) 22:27, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! I tried not to reword too much, mostly just formatting the references with a bit of tweaking, but I'm glad you don't mind :) Frickative 23:28, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
