Watchlist creation[edit]

Can you have the Bot generate a watchlist of all the articles it creates so people can check periodically for vandalism? Wrad (talk) 20:46, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. This is ultimately part of the bot's operation. Of course, all the articles it creates will also be listed at the Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/Places page, and wikiprojects will be involved to pick up the articles into their own watchlists. Before you do the huge run[edit]

I have heard several concerns about the scale up of your approved task. As such, I am requesting that you hold off on further additions until discussions can take place. -- Tawker (talk) 23:04, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the contributions, you'll find that the bot has not been uploading since before the discussion began, and has created no articles since the technical competency test required by BAG. Fritzpoll (talk) 11:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I know it hasn't - but for all I know, it takes a push of a button to turn it back on. Thats all -- Tawker (talk) 18:08, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bulgarian villages[edit]

In bgwiki we have created all the towns/villages in Bulgaria with a bot in 2004 and we support an off-wiki database for all of them (for example we change the population every 3 months, etc.). If you are interested in using the data you could drop me a line at bg:User talk:Nk. --Nk (talk) 10:15, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would be very interested in the data, and I'll get in touch once I'm certain exactly what the community here want the bot to do/not do Fritzpoll (talk) 11:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
