July 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Paulie Malignaggi, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm S0091. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Paulie Malignaggi, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! S0091 (talk) 23:32, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Fromchicago312. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Since you have stated you have a personal relationship with Paulie Malignaggi, you should not edit that page so please discontinue S0091 (talk) 00:29, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I also note you have made edit requests on the article's talk page which were denied as you failed to provide a reliable source. Please read this policy carefully along with original research. You must always provide reliable published resources to content you add, especially when it involves a living person. You have been told this now several times. Failure to comply with these policies will ultimately lead to your account being blocked. S0091 (talk) 00:47, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
