Verbal noun

Hi Funandtrvl, would be grateful if you could go in and fix up the formatting at the article Verbal noun. I cannot understand the intricacies of citations and why the don't turn out the way I want them to.

(Your previous correction resulted in an editing conflict, which resulted in the loss of editing in progress. Again, the instructions given to avoid losing my edit were largely impenetrable.)

thanks for letting me know, I'll take a look at it soon. Funandtrvl (talk) 02:58, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

Missing categories?

Hey F, I saw you added the topics to {{WikiProject Weather/class}}; do you plan to create all the assessment categories that are now required as a result of those additions? Thanks in advance, UnitedStatesian (talk) 02:38, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

@UnitedStatesian:, yes, I've been working on that project and Meteorology trying to straighten it up, as soon as I have some spare time, I'll review it, thanks --Funandtrvl (talk) 21:28, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

WP Met

Just so you are aware, WP Met is being superseded by WP Weather. It isn't the parent project of weather. NoahTalk 15:56, 7 August 2021 (UTC)

Article Alerts

Is there not a way to duplicate an article alert but for more specific info? You removed my addition here to the Article Alerts subscription page. Just curious if you know if it is possible to duplicate the AA page for WP:NFL, but only to show WP:FLC and WP:FLRC workflows? There is a working group focused on improving WP:NFL lists to WP:FL and I wanted to try to have an AA page for just the relevant activities. Cheers, « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 17:17, 29 January 2024 (UTC)

@Gonzo fan2007: I believe you have to do it within just one listing of Template:ArticleAlertSubscription, otherwise it only reads the 1st listing. So, everything will show up on the article alert page, not separate pages. I don't see a way to do it otherwise. About adding Article Alert banner page sourcing

Hi! Just to let you know that when you add page sources to a subscription like a banner page like this example, the bot will actually have to download each of those during the run. It's not that much extra time and resources, but (unless the subscription is broken) these are redundant, because they have the same pages. Some others (at least at the time of adding them) didn't have banners or those banners weren't always placed. In other words, not including these banners was on purpose (otherwise the bot could just always parse every banner and category). For example, Template:WikiProject Equatorial Guinea isn't actually transcluded on any page, so it's not an actual source for project pages. You can see the bot now listing empty sources at Wikipedia:Article_alerts/Log. You mention your motivation to "cut down on template calls", but I'm not sure what you mean by that? —  HELLKNOWZ  TALK 11:29, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

When you edit the subscription list page, it has a warning notice that the page has over 6,000 template calls, and it's in the category of pages having expensive parser calls. When adding the banner pages, it decreases that number. However, if it isn't really doing any good, thanks for the heads up. Funandtrvl (talk) 21:57, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
