Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes. Wikipedia does not allow advertising in articles. For more information on this, see

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! --Busy Stubber 04:45, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for being straight-forward about your being an employee of this company. I can understand why you want to contribute to Interac (Japan). But there's a Wikipedia guideline you should read -- Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. It explains some of the problems that arise when you edit an article about a company you work for. Please read it.

Articles in Wikipedia need published sources that are independent of the topic. In other words, Interac's websites can certainly be used for some of the information in the article, but you also need to use outside sources and references -- newspaper articles, government reports, journal articles, that sort of thing. Some outside sources may be critical of Interac.

Think about working on some other articles in Wikipedia. Do you have a hobby or other interest like that? There are a lot of fascinating articles in Wikipedia that you could help improve!

Nobody here, by the way, is asking you to go away. We're just asking you to do your best to follow the rules.

Respectfully, --Busy Stubber 15:10, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see. Thank you for your mentoring. You have avoided any kind of confrontational position that you could have taken in order to teach and for that I am grateful. --GUIB Corrector 07:28, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Interac (Japan)[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Interac (Japan), has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Interac (Japan). Thank you. J 03:46, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talk-page use[edit]

In the toolbar at the top of each talk-page is a button or pulldown with a link marked "new item" or something like that. Clicking it starts a new section where you can start a discussion on a new topic, rather than adding content to existing discussion blocks on other topics. Each article also has an associated talk-page (there's a "Talk" link in the toolbar for it) where you can have a discussion about article content in a place that other editors will more easily be able to see it and contribute as well (rather than just you talking with one other editor on his talkpage).
