Hello,

My name is Gebre Waddell, I'm an entrepreneur and a mastering engineer. My studio is [1], a mastering studio located in downtown Memphis, TN. I have written a collection of works that I released as blog posts, although their depth and scope is beyond what most people would consider for blog posts. The documents I created are intended to become comprehensive authority documents that will be regularly updated. This will provide an up-to-date resource for knowledge seekers.

I will append the relevant topics with external links to their corresponding post. This may occur in a short time period, as all of these documents were released at about the same time. Considering this, please do not mark my posts as spam.

Thank you,

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:MikeVarneyCrop.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:MikeVarneyCrop.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 14:36, 26 May 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:36, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Ericgales.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Ericgales.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? feydey (talk) 10:57, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:MikeVarneyCrop.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MikeVarneyCrop.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. File copyright problem with File:Khariwynn.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Khariwynn.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. IngerAlHaosului (talk) 10:09, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Modular Economics, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Modular Economics. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. SnottyWong verbalize 22:12, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please use the edit summary field[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Six-Day War, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. ~Amatulić (talk) 00:01, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:SusanMarshall.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 21:51, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your own information[edit]

Your talk page is intended for you to interact with other editors and your user page is for you to tell about yourself, so you may want to move the personal information to your user page. Good luck. ww2censor (talk) 21:54, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Susan Marshall (choreographer), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Susan Marshall. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:01, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2011[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! I edit too, under the username DVdm. I noticed that you recently added an external link that may have been inappropriate according to our guidelines about linking to other websites. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia written by people like you and me, not a web directory, so we try to make sure articles link to only a few important sites. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks, DVdm (talk) 21:59, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Lawrence Boo Mitchell.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Lawrence Boo Mitchell.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Just wanted to let you know that I saw that you created the new article Lawrence "Boo" Mitchell--However, I noticed there are some holes that may need filling: the references in the article do not follow Wikipedia guidelines. There is a tutorial on formatting citations at Wikipedia:Referencing. It would be great if you could also Wikify the related article Willie Mitchell (musician). Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:AngeloEarl.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 12:01, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Another one of your uploads, File:Anthonycrawford.jpg, has also had some information automatically added. If you get a moment, please review the bot's contributions there as well. Thanks! Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 12:04, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
