Hi Gabrolf - I would say analytic number theory is mainly about the use of *complex* analysis - or complex analysis and Fourier analysis, but the two can't be pulled apart easily. There's a bit of functional analysis, but, at least in the traditional parts of the subject, not all that much. Of course measure theory is a must for working mathematician and what not.
