Bishops' family privacy

Hi Agrippa. Just noticed you've added back (it looks like you hadn't noticed they'd previously been there and removed) some details of current bishops' families (spouses and children). I have been removing these due to privacy concerns — I've been noting (and sourcing) their occupations or achievements where notable, but omitting names. What do you think? DBD 20:59, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi DBD! I've not noticed re-adding, that wasn't my intention. I'm against naming children unless they've been very publicly named (included in a bishop's bio on a diocese website for example), and fully against giving their birth dates (privacy reasons) and details of spouses (not relevant). As for spouses, if their names and occupations are in the public domain, I don't see an issue with adding them to Wiki. Newspaper interviews/reports, official website biographies, press releases, things like Who's Who etc, are all available for people to read for themselves. Granted, something like Who's Who isn't "google-able" and needs a library card, but those who don't want their spouse's name to be known by the public (or for that mater their birth date) leave it blank. For children I err on the side of privacy but for a spouse, if the info is out there I include it. Does that all make sense? Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 21:19, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
Seems fair enough. As I go, I'll reinstate any spouse names I've removed. DBD 11:17, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
Thank you very much, Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 13:35, 5 October 2017 (UTC)

So I edited Bert Massie's page because he had died. You took it down because you said there was no source, then bothered to message me about it. It would be a lot quicker to Google it. He died. Now the date is up. This is precisely why I don't edit Wikipedia very often and won't be doing so again in a hurry. There's such a thing as standards and there's also creating work for yourself and others. Note taken not to waste my time in future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gretauk (talkcontribs) 13:18, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Eleri Rees), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Women in Red FBAs

You might be interested to know that I've extracted the names of all the female FBAs without articles and added them to the UK section of the upcoming Women in Red contest. My edits here provide the full list. Just thought you might find that helpful if you intend to get involved. Thanks, —Noswall59 (talk) 10:13, 27 October 2017 (UTC).

Thank you very Noswall59! That will indeed be helpful next month and will hopefully bring some others on board as well. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 15:38, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Sutherland Springs church shooting.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Edit warring Legacypac (talk) 23:47, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Hello Legacypac! I have indeed attempted dialogue with ChocolateRabbit. However they continually refused to talk to me (or another editor) and so they were blocked. I have commented on Talk:Sutherland Springs church shooting outlining my reasoning, and also in various edit summaries and in the hidden message. I'd appreciate if you delete this warning. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 23:52, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
You appear to be edit warring. This is a required notice in case someone needs to file a 3RR report so no I’ll decline to delete. Legacypac (talk) 23:57, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
