A few words of advice[edit]

Here are a few words of advice about your editing. I have just looked at the page Draft:Gregory O'Neal. I could review it right now, but since you have not accepted the advice I gave you before, I have decided to leave it for someone else to review, so that you can see that the result is not just some opinion of mine. There is virtually no chance at all of the draft being accepted as an article, for at least two reasons. Firstly, it gives no evidence at all that you are significant or notable enough to be included in the encyclopaedia. Secondly, it is written as a personal reflection, rather than as an objective third party account. In fact, the only (very remote) chance of its becoming an article would be if it is reviewed by some inexperienced editor who has so little experience of how Wikipedia works that he or she should not be reviewing submissions and doesn't know what he or she is doing, and in that extremely unlikely event the article will be speedily deleted anyway.

Another point is that Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines indicate that you should not be writing about yourself. If you satisfy Wikipedia's notability guidelines then it is highly likely that sooner or later an independent, impartial, person will create an article about you, and if not then no article, no matter how it may be written, will be suitable.

I have already advised you that if you wish to write a personal web page, then you would be better advised to use one of the many web sites which provide that sort of service, rather than Wikipedia, which doesn't; I will now add to that further advice on creating articles. My advice to new editors is that it is best to start by making small improvements to existing articles, rather than creating new articles. That way any mistakes you make will be small ones, and you won't have the discouraging experience of repeatedly seeing hours of work deleted. Gradually, you will get to learn how Wikipedia works, and after a while you will know enough about what is acceptable to be able to write whole new articles without fear that they will be deleted. Over the years I have found that editors who start by making small changes to existing articles and work up from there have a far better chance of having a successful time here than those who jump right into creating new articles from the start. You are, of course, very welcome indeed to start contributing to the encyclopaedia about subjects other than yourself, but if you are here only to try to post a page about yourself then Wikipedia is not the place for you, and if you persist it is likely that before long you will be blocked from editing by an administrator.

I have put some time and effort into writing this message, in the hope that it may help you to avoid wasting your time on things which are doomed from the start. I hope it will help you. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 19:14, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Bellflower, California. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
In addition, you really need to grasp the fact that if you continue to try to use Wikipedia to publicise yourself then you are sooner or later going to be blocked from editing by an administrator. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 07:48, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
