Bot fighting[edit]

Thanks for persisting- these vandalism patrol bots do make a lot of embarrassing false positives. ClemRutter (talk) 08:06, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Seems fair, I was a new user apparently deleting a lot of content! --Gapfall (talk) 08:09, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Crystal Palace circuit[edit]

Hello,
Thanks for adding the photo'. However, that is the end of the back straight with ramp bend in the background. It's the part between the swimming pool and ramp bend. The start finish straight was on the other side of the circuit where the site of the pits and paddock can still be seen (though mainly demolished). Regards, Eagleash (talk) 16:51, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for responding. I think there may have been some changes to where the start / finish was at some time. I think it was changed post-war when they built the new link (from the 'glade' section to the back straight) and closed the infield link. However, I will double check with the books I have and edit accordingly if necessary. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 19:58, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Abbey Gardens edit[edit]

Thanks for the edit, but you created a link to the wrong Bakers Row. LoopZilla (talk) 12:24, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, realised my mistake immediately afterwards and thought I'd gone back and fixed that, looks like I just reverted the wrong photo on the Bakers Row article. Thanks for catching it. --Gapfall (talk) 17:56, 6 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Humber Street Gallery requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 13:39, 16 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Chapter Spitalfields, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Portobello (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Info Re: Rescassa[edit]

Hi, I have removed your PROD on the article: Rescassa. This article erroneously stated it was a farm, but it is infact a populated place designated as a hamlet. See https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/getoutside/local/rescassa-cornwall which backs this up. This makes the article notable under WP:GEOLAND. I really don't know why it was changed to say it was a farm, it may simply have been an error caused by the fact there is also a farm there of the same name. This diff shows it originally (and also incorrectly) said it was a village. It was changed to (correctly) say it was a hamlet, see diff. and then changed to (incorrectly) say it was a farm, see diff. I have now corrected it and added a reference. Dysklyver 14:08, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

RAF articles[edit]

Hey, Gapfall. Just to let you know that I have undone your edit at RAF Snaith. All RAF articles have the double explanation on them, it was something agreed eons ago. However I really appreciate the inclusion of the photo and I also agree that the photo you have put in for the River Don is better than the one before.

Any questions about any of this, then respond here as I am watching this page. Regards. The joy of all things (talk) 20:13, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm afraid I've removed the image you added in September as it is not of Wettern House but seems to be of the AIG building in Altyre Road, (you can see Altitude 25, which is at the junction of Altyre- and Fairfield Roads, in the background). The original file at commons says 'East Croydon Station, looking south' but W. House was in Dingwall Road which runs along the western side of the station area. I have also raised the matter at Commons village pump as to whether the extracted file should be deleted. Also W. House was demolished in the mid 2000s (per article): was definitely not standing in 2010 (per caption). Just wanted to let you know. Regards, Eagleash (talk) 13:03, 15 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Eagleash: Thanks for catching that, looks like you're absolutely right. I was looking for a Commons image containing what I thought was Wettern House from other sources online, but must have gotten my wires crossed somewhere. --Gapfall (talk) 13:41, 15 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I've wanted to add an image for some time, but despite having worked in the building, I do not have one of my own. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 13:49, 15 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
