If you're editing about a company you're involved in, you have to be very careful to make sure you're writing from neutral point of view and aren't blatantly advertising the company. You're not forbidden from starting an article about your company, but you need to proceed very cautiously. —C.Fred (talk) 23:40, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks C.Fred. I understand. I will review the policies and proceed carefully. I had seen other articles out there for other websites so I would follow their lead in regard to the type of information to include. Thanks again. Gary Bowers 00:21, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Gary, the important thing is that we didn't permit those websites/companies to create their own articles either. Just because another similar article exists does not mean every article can - each has to meet our notability guidelines. Someday if it does meet them, then someone wholly unrelated to the organization might create a useful draft. Until then, WP:COI and WP:PROMO are paramount ES&L 09:55, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Gotcha. Understand. 184.33.93.93 (talk) 10:41, 8 August 2013 (UTC) Thanks for the input. I'm brand new to Wikipedia so just learning the ropes. Gary Bowers 10:43, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
