I apologize for classifying your edits on hammer as vandalism, as they were not. However, I still would have reverted the edit, because the info you added doesn't apply to the hammer article. The "sybolic hammers" section is about symbolic hammers. The info you added about VOIP hardware is not info on a symbolic hammer. If you would still like to add your info to wikipedia make a new article about it, or, try adding it to the VOIP article. However, I have a feeling you will find both difficult unless you can prove it's notable. Because of this I'm reverting your latest edition to the article. Actually, I was referring to your edits as being vandalism...not mine :-)

I am afraid I don't understand why you don't see the relevance of the additions. I did not want to put too much information in the page, as I didn't want to make it appear to be too much like advertizing. The Hammer product family by Empirix is a very relevant symbolic Hammer, just as much as any of the others you listed. Here is some more info to help you understand...

It started out with a company call Hammer Technologies in 1992, and the symbol of the company (and now product family) is and has always been a hammer head inside a circle. I can even upload the logo to the Wiki article. Hammer has been the No. 1 solution in its industry for the past 7 or 8 years, and is definitely an icon in the industry.

If you think I should include all of this then I can, if you think it makes it more applicable. Or I can add a whole new section to the Hammer article which describes Other Products. I look forward to your recommendation.

As to the VOIP piece, that is something I can add to later as well, and would be easy to show applicability. However, that would cover more than just Hammer by Empirix, and I would like to get this rather simple piece accepted first before tackling a larger one. Ok...here's the problem. The hammer article is about the tool. Anything else does not belong in that article. Period. I'll agree that there was some pointless garbage in the "symbolic hammers" section (which is one of the reasons it has a cleanup temp on it), but, if you go and look at it now I removed all of that garbage. I left your stuff, because I don't want to get into a revert war with you. However, your info doesn't belong in that section. Just because your company logo has a hammer in it doesn't make it a symbolic hammer; it just means your company logo has a hammer on it. As for my recommendation, I already gave it to you: either create a new article or find a more applicable article (which I can't even figure out what that would be because you just said that it is this of the "industry" and that of the "industry", without defining the "industry"). I am leaving the information there right now to not escalate the situation but if you don't remove it I will get an admin involved. --Wizard191 (talk) 12:07, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
