Expansion tag

When using the {{expansion}} tag, please note that it belongs on an article's talk page not the article itself. See Wikipedia:Requests for expansion for more info on using this tag. --Pascal666 23:54, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Email

Hi, Gem!

To email a user, go to his/her user page or talk page.

Find the "email this user" link in the left column menu. Select it.

If the user allows email communication, you will get a page like this one.

Write your message and hit send. That's it! ;-)

Protecting User page

Unfortunately, you can't. If, however, people keep changing it, any admin can do this for you. In practice, it doesn't tend to happen. No problem on asking questions. I'm a librarian in real life. --CTSWyneken 02:12, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

You can read more about user page traditions at Wikipedia:User page --Pascal666 22:06, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

My nickname

I chose my nickname because I like Thorpe Park. Ever been there? --Thorpe | talk 12:37, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Hello

I got your e-mail. Nice to meet you! --HappyCamper 00:59, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Userboxes

Dear Gem: They are the boxes you have on your userpage. 8-) It is possible to do them without a template, but I haven't gone out of my way to learn how it's done. --CTSWyneken 19:46, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

African American

Please don't pipe African American to United States. This is misleading. You are welcome to note that Marques Houston is African American and you are welcome to link to United States, but please use two separate links. Otherwise, it implies that everyone in the United States is African American. Minor issue, I know, but hey. --Yamla 04:31, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

You seem to have thought that was a pun or something. It wasn't. --Yamla 19:24, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
I am presuming that you understand why it is inappropriate to link African American to United States. If this is still not clear to you, please ask again. What you left on my talk page implied that you did understand, but now I'm not so sure. --Yamla 21:47, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Fair use

Hi there. I removed the images from your user page. This is because they were not being used under the fair-use restrictions. It's kind of complicated to explain but the end result is that most images that you see on Wikipedia are not permissible on user pages. This is due to copyright and fair-use legislation. It's an honest mistake, one that hundreds of editors make, but the fact remains that you can't use them on your user page. Please let me know if you want a more detailed explanation. --Yamla 03:19, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

You said: "Can you stop messing with my user page please? If there is a problem, please e-mail me and I will surely fix it or act you about the problem. Thanks AND THANK YOU AGAIN FOR TELLING ME THE PROBLEMS.sORRY,i HAVE THE CAPS ON."
It does not belong to you, but I will just tell you about the problem in the future rather than correcting it and then telling you. --Yamla 21:44, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

No personal attacks

Wikipedia maintains a policy of no personal attacks. Your remark here [1], suggesting another user hates black people, is in violation of that policy, and is uncivil. Please don't say anything like that again. Attacks like that are disruptive. Tom Harrison Talk 23:35, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Notice

The article Diane Gutterud has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Could not find much coverage at all in WP:Reliable sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
