Bitcoin (software)[edit]

Thanks for this article :). Would you mind adding a few more citations to the "Client" section? Thanks! Ironholds (talk) 23:59, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. It's tricky though because there are not many third party sources on Bitcoin software. Most of the development discussion is hidden away on forums and mailing lists. User facing software is different, but the underlying implementations are not so interesting outside of bitcoin developers. Genjix (talk) 00:06, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Genjix, I wanted to let you know I have done a little bit of rearranging with respect to your efforts to split Bitcoin into multiple articles. I want to give you a heads up so as to be cooperative rather than seeming to step on your toes. I have added comments to Talk:Bitcoin - which is at its original place since it was never moved - explaining what I'm up to. Casascius♠ (talk) 04:10, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:Cody Wilson.jpg

Do you have OTRS permission for this image, and if so, can you please email OTRS about this?

Otherwise, the image will have to be deleted.

File permission problem with File:Cody Wilson.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Cody Wilson.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Cirt (talk) 06:03, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Bill Clinton Boulevard2.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Disambiguation link notification for January 28[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Rojava, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page YPG. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:58, 28 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Lions of Rojava Facebook recruitment page.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Lions of Rojava Facebook recruitment page.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Kurdistan_Political_Parties.png Updates[edit]

Several of the parties in MGRK/TEV-DEM and ENKS have split from their respective coalitions to form a third coalition. Do you have any information regarding this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 145.107.84.179 (talk) 16:19, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Larger version of "Kurdish Political Parties.svg"?[edit]

Hi. Your work on this graphic is incredible. Even zoomed in though, some of the text is hard to read. I'm specifically trying to read the various parties in the KNC/ENKS - I know there's a list of KNC parties on the KNC page, but your graphic seems to have some extra information (for example, the Kurdistan Islamic Union apparently splintered from one of the KNC parties in 2005? Am I reading that right?). You wouldn't happen to have an even bigger version of the graphic, do you? (Or at least a bigger version of that KNC portion?) Thanks for your hard work either way.
