Pretenders[edit]

I have created the article Head of the former Chinese imperial clan‎ for your material. The "line of successor" articles are a series focusing on living pretenders. That's not your article is about. No one else has expressed support for what you are doing, so you can't claim WP:CONSENSUS for these changes to longstanding practices. The other 50 articles on the template have the same issues. The obvious solution is a common format. Whiff of greatness (talk) 15:37, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not because a common problem do I need to neglect the truth and history. I don't remove the contents; I just made the original ones merged into a bigger ones. - George6VI (talk) 15:39, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Article moving[edit]

Line of succession to the former Chinese throne is a long established article with numerous contributors. If you want to rename it, please open a discussion at WP:RM. If you want to delete it, open a discussion at WP:AFD. Decisions on Wikipedia are by consensus supported by reliable sources. Chinese Wiki and "the truth" do not qualify as reliable sources. Whiff of greatness (talk) 03:47, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I see that despite my advice above, you have once again renamed this article.[1] Given the history, you had to know this would be a controversial move. It should therefore be done by RM. If you don't revert, I'll take this to ANI. Whiff of greatness (talk) 10:37, 20 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

French monarchs family tree (simple)[edit]

Hi,

On the French monarchs family tree (simple) page, you made the following edit about eight months ago:

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=French_monarchs_family_tree_(simple)&diff=787791645&oldid=787776637

There is a mistake in this edit. The father and grandfather of Henry IV of France are both shown as the same person, Charles, Duke of Vendome. This was his grandfather, it is correct, but the father of Henry IV was Antoine of Navarre. The information was correct before you changed the page. I do not know how to make the correction (it is very confusing), and I am afraid that I will make some bigger mess, therefore I request you to please make the change quickly.

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.182.183.64 (talk) 07:13, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I do know the correct genealogy, but this must be a typo. - George6VI (talk) 08:43, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your help desk question[edit]

You asked who could fix a template problem that never gets fixed. Perhaps the people who would fix the problem are at WP:VPT.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:40, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. - George6VI (talk) 19:49, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Adventure Time, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Elle. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:24, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced claims in BLPs[edit]

Hi George6VI, I deleted the content you added to Andrew Lee (entrepreneur) because it was unsourced speculation that violated Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living people. Please keep in mind when editing such biographies that all contentious material must be supported by an inline reference to a reliable source. --Joshua Issac (talk) 12:20, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Joshua Issac: I don't think that is so-called "unsourced". In existing references, there are only sources about Andrew claiming himself to be a royalty, but there is no source to prove that he genealogical is one. If you ever read House of Jeonju Yi, notable Joseon/Korean royalties have a clear family relation, but there is no such person called Andrew Lee in the family tree. As his claim is already dubious, it is reasonable to note those, so I am adding it back. - George6VI (talk) 13:04, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If it is not unsourced, please add the source. WP:BLP specifically warns against what you are doing, which is using original research and synthesis to back up claims that are not actually supported by reliable sources. I have removed the claim again per WP:BLPREMOVE. I have started a discussion on the BLP noticeboard; please add any further comments to Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard#Andrew Lee (entrepreneur) to keep the discussion in one place. --Joshua Issac (talk) 16:18, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Crown Princess Gonghoe[edit]

On 31 August 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Crown Princess Gonghoe, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that King Seonjo considered necromancy for Crown Princess Gonghoe's funeral because her remains were lost during the 1592 Japanese invasion of Korea? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Crown Princess Gonghoe. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Crown Princess Gonghoe), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
