Talk pages[edit]

{{helpme}} How do the TALK PAGES work? I mean, for when your page is deleted and you want to argue? Thank you, Georgiag5863 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgiag5863 (talkcontribs) 03:11, 16 October 2011‎

When you leave messages, please remember to "sign" your name, by putting ~~~~ (four tilde signs) at the end. This will add your name, and the date and time. You can also do this by clicking the 'sign' button, pictured to the right.
There's several kinds of "talk page".
Each article has a discussion page, which is often called the 'talk page' - and they're for discussing the specific article. For example, if you had a suggestion for improving the article about sausages, but were not confident enough to make the edit without discussion, you could propose it on Talk:Sausage.
And then, there are user talk pages - like this one, User talk:Georgiag5863, or mine, User talk:Chzz - which is the primary way in which Wikipedians can contact each other. They're used for questions, warnings, requests for help, and things like that.
See Help:Using talk pages.  Chzz  ►  03:14, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. With regards to "Stephen Jerzak", please see WP:VRS, WP:BIO, WP:FIRST. Cheers,  Chzz  ►  03:16, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}} For starters, I am sorry to ask so many questions. Can you post How-To articles? I doubt it, but I just thought I'd ask.--Georgiag5863 (talk) 03:46, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We don't have those on Wikipedia; WP:NOTHOW. There's other websites, such as "wikihow", I believe.  Chzz  ►  03:52, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Georgiag5863, you'll likely not be pleased about this but I have suppressed a number of edits to your userspace which reveal too much personally identifiable information about yourself. I've done this per policy and for your own protection and safety on-line as you are a self-declared minor. I'm really sorry about that and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add it. For some useful information on privacy and safety, take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Thanks, and sorry for messing about with your pages - Risker (talk) 04:25, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
