The article The Orwellian World of Jehovah's Witnesses has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable book

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for February 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gary Botting, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Black Book (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please see WP:OVERLINK. One Garry Botting link in the Criticism of Jehovah's Witnesses article is sufficient. BlackCab (talk) 08:41, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Botting[edit]

I realise I've been editing over the top of you a bit. I tend to edit articles based on recent changes in my watch list, but it's not usually right at the same time. Sorry about that. I'll lay off for a while.--Jeffro77 (talk) 08:35, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

April 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Sowlos. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Wicca because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!
Your <ref> didn't actually cite any work. (You may be interested to read WP:CITE.) Also, you seem to be adding as many references to the Bottings and Lysbeth Turner as you can in your edits. This looks a bit like POV motivated editing. (See WP:NPOV.) Perhaps we should establish clearer conventions for notable persons at Talk:Wicca.

I hope you don't feel that I and others are over-scrutinizing your edits. Articles like Wicca are prone to over-editing by new editors who have a million things from their personal experiences they want to add. While Wikipedia aims to cover the sum of human knowledge, there is a proper place and tone for everything. For instance, if we mentioned everything to be said about a topic in its lead, the lead (which should be a summary) becomes something of a duplicate of the article it leads. Similarly, if we discuss everything relevant to a large topic in its main article because it's the most visible, the page essentially becomes multiple articles in one. Since Wicca's WP:GA status is currently under reassessment and several editors are attempting to clean up the article and save it from demotion, perhaps you could contribute to that process by highlighting ways in which the article may currently be deficient in leading readers to other more focused Wicca realated articles.  —Sowlos  19:17, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notability concerns[edit]

What is your association with Gary Botting and the subjects of various associated articles of which you seem to be the creator and primary editor? Many of the details in some of those articles are quite trivial, and the tone of several is that of a 'memoir' rather than encyclopedic articles. Some of the articles do not have any sources focussing on the actual subject of the article at all (though some provide ancillary citations only to aspects not directly related to the subject.) Some also cite other Wikipedia articles as sources, which is against policy.--Jeffro77 (talk) 09:08, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
