This article appears to be a copy from http://www.warriors-for-christ.com/Christian_Martial_art_discipline.html, and therefore a copyright violation. If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Tao Hsieh Wu Shu and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Tao Hsieh Wu Shu with a link to where we can find that note.

Hello - thanks for the message. I understand you're trying to work within our policies, but the article is still in violation of our copyright policy.

Unfortunately, the statement on the source site says, "Warriors For Christ gives Permission to Wiki-pedia to publish information found on this site for the purpose of sharing knowledge", right beside a statement that says "all rights reserved."

That is not the same as licensure under the GFDL. They have to license the content under the GFDL, for anyone to use, for any purpose, at any time, irrevocably. It's not sufficient to say only Wikipedia can use it, because other people use Wikipedia. Those users of Wikipedia have to be able to use the content too, and that cannot happen unless they license the content under the GFDL.

I've listed the article at Wikipedia:Copyright problems once again. The easiest way to deal with this is for you to follow the instructions in the messages above, which have been left for you twice and have now been explained to you three times.

  • You can create an article in your own words at Talk:Tao Hsieh Wu Shu/Temp, and leave a message at Talk:Tao Hsieh Wu Shu when you've done that.
  • The owners of the site can license their site under the GFDL and make a statement on their site saying, "This content is licensed under the GFDL". Again, simply giving Wikipedia permission to publish is not the same thing as licensure under the GFDL.
  • The owners of the site can send an email to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org permitting its use under the GFDL. Again, giving permission only to Wikipedia is not sufficient. It has to be licensed under the GFDL.

The page will be listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems for one week. If its copyright status is not clarified in that period, the article will be deleted.

We're trying to work with you, but if a page continues to be recreated after deletion over and over again in a manner that conflicts with our policies, we could block the editors who recreate them.

Thanks again for the message. I hope all works out for the best. Please let me know if you need more help or have questions. - KrakatoaKatie 22:50, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
