Percent error

Perhaps this should go on the article's talk page, but first of all, percent error is different from approximation error, so they should definitely not be merged or redirected or what have you. And second of all, just having that one source makes the article more "reliable" (in that sense) than a great many articles on here. In my opinion, the tag is extremely nitpicky. You are not going to find, say, an article from a major newspaper on this subject; the source already listed in the article is probably the best you can possibly do. Frankly, tags are ugly, and should be avoided if not absolutely needed. Anyway, glad my impulse at 2 in the morning was not in vain. Loved your post on my talk page, and hopefully some more sources can be found and we can get rid of that tag for good. Have a nice day. →EdGl 20:00, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Partial birth Abortion

Sure, I'll watch it. It needs a lot of clean up though and some references, but I'm sure other people are watching it now. Although, I don't necessarily agree with your viewpoints as it seems it is easy to tell which side you are on in the Abortion Debate. So I don't quite understand how I must add to the "cruelty". Fast reply, good! Some guy wants to remove partial birth, I think he may have some point, so I put it under partial birth section, it should stay there, go on abortiont talk page. Some people just milk un-necessary things to get their point across. You do not have to agree my friend, simply listen and look how ugly partial birth abortion is, cracking baby's skull. Foremanfan

Yea, I think you should give a look at the two articles: Abortion in the United States and Abortion law as I'm not quite sure how it would play a role in the general article Abortion. It seems that article is the generalized piece about the topic whereas the other articles are more focused on different aspects, which relates to your addition. Gilawson 19:47, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

There is already an article about Abortion in the USA, it's Abortion in the United States, and on those pages, there seems to be many many links to other Abortion pages on Wikipedia, so could maybe search among them to see where you could add appropriately. Gilawson 20:10, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

I had no idea that article existed, somebody should have told me that in the first place. But anyways, many abortion articles miss tons and tons of information.

Regarding your edits, changing Live to LIVE, note that Wikipedia has its own set of guidelines, specifically Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks), which indicates that Capitalize trademarks, as with proper names. and Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules even if the trademark owner encourages special treatment: avoid: REALTOR®, instead, use: Realtor Therefore, we do not care whether the trademark states they should be all capitalized, Wikipedia uses its own guideline which indicates it should be "proper cased". So, LIVE, even as a trademark, must be modified to Live. Hopefully this will help understand the matter. -- ReyBrujo 04:36, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

I was surprised by your assertion that "But what I can tell you is that a PWR Generation II doesn't require forced cooling after any type of shutdown to avoid damage" but thought I may be out of date. Since this was contrary to my understanding, I did some research. Specifically I reviewed the "Standard Review Plan for the Review of Safety Analysis Reports for Nuclear Power Plants: LWR Edition (NUREG-0800)". United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. May 2010. Retrieved 2 June 2010.. Section 5.4.7 titled "RESIDUAL HEAT REMOVAL (RHR) SYSTEM" (Revision 5 which is dated May 2010) deals with decay heat removal in the residual heat removal (RHR) discussion. It specifically discusses using the reactor coolant system (RCS) during and following shutdown and applies to all currently licensed PWRs and BWRs as well as to any new PWR Generation II license submittals. The reference makes it clear that decay heat removal using active coolant flow is required. Just to make sure I did not misunderstand, I spoke with a gentleman involved in the U.S. NRC licensing review of a recent PWR Generation III reactor license submittal (the Advanced PWR (APWR) - nominally Gen-IV PWR from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) - he assured me that NO Generation II or III reactor design currently exists that does NOT require active cooling for decay heat removal following a scram after extended full power operation. The original wording which you challenged - "Nuclear power reactors require cooling flow to remove decay heat ... . If not immediately removed by coolant systems, the heat could lead to core damage." - remains correct. Hence I doubt that a reference exists for the assertion that "But what I can tell you is that a PWR Generation II doesn't require forced cooling after any type of shutdown to avoid damage." Therefore I will revert the text to the original form.

I'm back, 10 years later. So yes, nuclear plants don't meltdown when it loses all power. So yes, they are designed to not need forced cooling. There's no RHR when there's no power. So no need to reference RHR. If you are around, we can discuss. Gilawson (talk) 16:52, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

Hello and good afternoon (at least it is afternoon where I am). I was looking at the Wikipedian firefighters category and noticed that you are one of the members of the Wikipedia community that lists yourself as being a firefighter. First and foremost let me say thank you for your service. While I myself am not a firefighter, I do work as a photographer with multiple local fire departments. I am honored to have firefighters as some of my closest friends.

I have been taking an active role in the Fire Service WikiProject and am trying to recruit more members to this cause. If this is something you have any interest in, please let me know?
