A tag has been placed on IT Facility Management Services requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on IT Facility Management Services, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

January 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from IT Facility Management Services, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. MuffledThud (talk) 15:00, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Gkarvindr! I saw that you added a {{hangon}} tag to a page which you created, IT Facility Management Services. This is good, but in the process you removed the tag requesting deletion under CSD G11. Even though there is a hangon on the page, the deletion template should remain there. But don't worry, this doesn't mean that the page is going to get deleted. Make sure you edit the talk page of the page nominated for deletion, located at Talk:IT Facility Management Services, administrators will look at your reason why the page should remain before they decide what to do. Thanks - SDPatrolBot (talk) 15:02, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Some good consultant[edit]

Hello Gkarvindr,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Some good consultant for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Blythwood (talk) 06:46, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Choosing a Good Consultant[edit]

Hi, I'm Blythwood. Gkarvindr, thanks for creating Choosing a Good Consultant!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi, I've just read this article. It doesn't seem like a subject for a Wikipedia article for me - it reads like your opinion and as a how-to guide. Maybe post it on your blog?

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Blythwood (talk) 07:50, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Gkarvindr. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Choosing a Good Consultant, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Blythwood (talk) 07:51, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Choosing a Good Consultant requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from https://gkarvindr.wordpress.com/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —teb728 t c 10:34, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Gkarvindr requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. December 2015[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:59, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • This block is for two reasons. First, you appear to have posted material from other websites, which is considered to be a copyright violation. This is not allowed per Wikipedia's guidelines as it opens the site up to potential lawsuits. Second, these articles are very promotional in tone, which is also not acceptable per Wikipedia's guidelines. This means that even if you were the copyright holder and you donated the material as fair use, it still would not be usable. I think that you may mean well, but these pages just weren't appropriate for Wikipedia. However you may be able to get unblocked if you can answer the following:
  1. Do you understand that you cannot post material taken from other websites unless the website is explicitly set up with a compatible license or permission is filed through WP:OTRS?
  2. That copyright aside, not all content is appropriate for Wikipedia since they aren't written in an encyclopedic format or come across as original thought? (WP:NPOV, WP:NOT#OR)
Also, if unblocked, would you be willing to go through one of the training modules like WP:TRAINING or WP:ADVENTURE as a sign of good faith? Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 12:04, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • In response to the email, to get unblocked you would need to do the following:
  1. Show that you understand why you were blocked. I've detailed the reasons why above, but I'll restate them again since it's been a while. You added two new articles that were written in a casual blog style and used second person pronouns, which goes against Wikipedia's style guidelines. Some of the content was also a copyright violation, as you copied directly from other websites. You also created the page "some good consultant" that was just a link to your Linkedin profile. Your userpage was also written as an advertisement for your abilities as a consultant, as you were telling the reader about your skills and how they could benefit from them. Wikipedia is not a place to promote yourself or your business.
  2. Give an example of what you would do if you were unblocked. (IE, is there a specific article you want to add or edit? A topic area you want to participate in, etc.)
Essentially what we are looking for is that you understand why you were blocked and that you aren't here to promote yourself and your services. That's not what Wikipedia's intended purpose and a promotional account can be blocked very quickly, typically permanently, on this site. I don't mean to scare you off, I just want to impress the importance of editing neutrally and within Wikipedia's intended purpose and style. Problem with your custom signature[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you. 18:02, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
