same-sex marriage in Nevada

WP has a way to move a page to a new name. You just cut and paste, which isn't how it's done. The way you did it, all the history of changes are left in the old location, when they should stay with the file. I'll try to undo and do it correctly. Note that at the top of a WP file there's the word MORE at top right next to the search box. That's what you should try to use. Could require an administrator's help to do correctly now. Everybody makes this mistake once! The way they hide the "move" function under the "more' label is weird.
I had to ask administrator to do it. In the past (I haven't done this often) it has taken an hour or two.
One more point: try to find a way to talk about Nevada without predicting the future. Not "Same-sex marriage will become legal". It takes more of a big mouthful to state precisely what is happening without the verb "will", but it's much more WikiStyle. Something like: "Same-sex marriage is not legal in NV. On October 7 the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals said it was ordering the federal district court in Nevada to require the state to cease enforcing its ban on SSM." Bigpond

Why do you insist to turn that article into Telstra Media? And why dont you engage on the article's talk page as I had requested? Telstra Media has taken on the old Bigpond's content operation. However, the core of Bigpond - and almost all of the article - is the ISP product which is now Telstra proper, not Telstra Media. Hence, it is misleading and unhelpful to rename the Bigpond article Telstra Media. Is this logical? thanks. RogerM1975 (talk) 21:07, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

Delianov

Hey, do you know if Delianov still has a senior contract? It seems he was signed on 30 March 2017 to the senior team for 2 seasons, but I haven't seen him mentioned since. (while Genreau and Pierias have played and been named in squads). --SuperJew (talk) 12:29, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

He's listed on the club's youth team list (http://www.melbournecityfc.com.au/team/y_league), which leads me to infer that he is both a scholarship player and a youth league player, though not a senior player. This appears to differ from the other 3 scholarship players, all of whom the club lists on their senior team. Atkinson though, who's neither a senior or scholarship player, has been selected in a senior team squad (see FFA Cup R32 match tonight). Jono52795 (talk) 12:36, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

Actually upon closer inspection of your source it appears he could be considered a first team player (quote: "...and goalkeeper Delianov joined City’s first team from the Club’s youth system on Scholarship Contracts this season and have extended their deals, which will elevate them into the first team for the next two seasons.") The club's A-League/NYL lists on their website place him in the club's NYL team only, which differs from the other scholarship players who are mentioned in the first team. It appears to come down to the manner in which City decide to play him, but given my source is only a list of players and is updated sporadically by the club (it still listed Caceras until today), I would be more inclined to keep him where he is on the relevant City wiki articles. Personally, it wouldn't bother me if he's included or not, that's just my opinion based on the two sources we have available for us at this time. Perhaps later in the year when the season has begun we'll get a better idea of his status at the club. Thanks for all your hard work keeping the 2017/18 season page up to date. Go City! According to an op-ed in the recent Signpost, some editors think task forces and subgroups are dying in 2017.

ANI Experiences survey

Beginning on November 28, 2017, the Wikimedia Foundation Community health initiative (Safety and Support and Anti-Harassment Tools team) will be conducting a survey to en.wikipedia contributors on their experience and satisfaction level with the Administrator’s Noticeboard/Incidents. Australian Greens leadership elections

I see you recently created articles on the Australian Greens leadership elections. Since all the elections had a single candidate elected unopposed, I wonder if it would be better to have a single Australian Greens leadership elections article. A couple of the National Party elections were nominated for deletion (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/National Party of Australia leadership election, 2007 and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/National Party of Australia leadership election, 2016) and the consensus was to merge them into a new National Party of Australia leadership elections article. Wagga Wagga state by-election, 2018

Thanks for your edit. Using an edit summary to attack other editors with unsubstantiated allegations is pretty poor form, however. I've never been to Wagga Wagga in my life and have no "bias" towards any candidates in the election. The profiles of the candidates were based on those on the ABC Elections page, some of which are longer and more detailed than others. AusLondonder (talk) 03:42, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

It was not an accusation, merely an opinion. I just found it strange that the notes on some frankly minor candidates were taking up several lines/sentences whilst other candidates, both major and minor, were left untouched. In any case, wiki policy in this area and convention in similar articles would call for a brief overview of each of the candidates, nothing more. If you consider adding context and informed views of other edits when improving articles to be an "attack on other editors" and "pretty poor form", then we'll just have to agree to disagree.
