{unblock|My username Glongbot has been in use a long time on wikipedia - well before I was aware of the bot policy - probably since before that policy existed - and glongbot is my default username for pretty well everything on the internet, since an NFS 7 letter restriction on usernames defaulted me from Graham LONGBOTtom to glongbot in the early '90s. So it's disappointing to have to modify it. Given that I don't own or use bots on wikipedia, nor act like one, I can't see that it confuses anyone - surely the problem would be bots which didn't contain the bot tag/name - and I would prefer to retain it. If it's essential that it has to be changed, I'll modify to glongbot2, but I'll probably forget next time I have to log in, and so stop visiting.} Glongbot (talk) 21:40, 19 May 2010 (UTC) glongbot
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
