Adnan Oktar[edit]

Your changes to Adnan Oktar are welcome. But for any significant claim, such as being a Sayyid, we need to provide a reliable source that confirms this claim. In this case, quoting from his own website is not sufficient. If you find a source, let me know. --Geoffry Thomas (talk) 08:25, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually this is factual information that overrides speculation, however, I will include sources to confirm this fact. Thanks.
You are correct the quote "In 1995, he founded Millî Değerleri Koruma Vakfı (Foundation for Protection of National Values), through which he networks with other traditional Islamist and nationalist organizations and individuals." has no source at all and should be deleted. Can you replace it with a source from a website other than the Millî Değerleri Koruma Vakfı website itself? Has it ever been written up in a reliable source (even in Turkish)? --Geoffry Thomas (talk) 12:48, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adnan Oktar is against "atheist" Zionism and "atheist" Masonry[edit]

He has been meeting with Rabbis and Freemasons as well as Templars from different parts of the world and it is evident by the press meetings and news on the media that he is only against - atheist - Masonry and - atheist - Zionism. In fact he has clearly stated several times that this is not his personal belief, but in the Qur'an it is specifically noted that there are the People of the Book including the Jews and Christians with whom Muslims lead a peaceful life, marry their daughters and eat the same food. These are all lawful according to Islam.

I have noted that Wikipedia, which the entire world community is benefiting from, has a very prejudiced viewpoint against Adnan Oktar. This is really a negative attitude and makes Wikipedia lose credibility in the eyes of many scholars, academicians, politicians and the youth especially who hold a very esteemed viewpoint for Adnan Oktar.

Therefore, the rejections of Wikipedia editors and their highly prejudiced content for the author is outside the norms of 21st century thinking and freedom of thought. There is a certain censorship that filters any positive content for Adnan Oktar. I assume this needs to be clarified first.

It is not prejudice, it is rules. Wikipedia editors are not allowed to write anything of their own. They can only quote credible sources. I answer further on my talk page. --Geoffry Thomas (talk) 09:43, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The terminology "atheist Freemasonry" or "atheist Masonry" should be a part of the Wikipedia related content. So, there is requirement to write down an article on this concept and describe its major difference from "regular Freemasonry." This could be done simply by suggesting how belief in God (mentioned as the "Great Architect of the Universe" in Freemasonry) is a principal tenet in Freemasonry and how "atheism" is not acceptable in this Fraternity. I am planning to write down an article by giving reference to sources that single out "atheist Freemasonry" as an irregular and unacceptable understanding within the regular organization of Freemasons. ~ :.: ~ 10:44, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

As far as wikipedia goes, it needs to be sourced, and not self published. If I do google on "Adnan Oktar" and "atheist Freemasonry" or "atheist Masonry", I don't get any results that weren't published by Adnan Oktar himself --Geoffry Thomas (talk) 13:43, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Anti-Atheist Zionism requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Acroterion (talk) 03:08, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
