DYK for Cannabis in Poland

On 14 January 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Cannabis in Poland, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that it was not illegal to possess or use cannabis in Poland until 1997? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Cannabis in Poland. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Cannabis in Poland), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

re: Cannabis in Poland; congrats and translation?

I rarely edit pl wiki, in theory there are many more Poles there than here. They can do it. Also, pl wiki does not allow stubs, would need to trasnslate more than 1-2 sentences, so here is another reason for why I don't usually bother. Not unless I care about a topic more and this one, I don't. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:38, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

No worries, thanks for your work! Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 11:53, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

"420" collaboration

Looks like we're getting some buy-in already, which is great! I've compiled a list of WikiProjects I plan to invite to participate as we get closer to the campaign. I know you also want to do some off-wiki outreach and get non-Wikipedians to contribute, which of course I support. I am probably more comfortable with on-wiki outreach, so maybe you can take the lead on off-wiki outreach? Feel free to use the collaboration page to flesh out some ideas, or ask volunteers to help with certain tasks. Hoping for a successful campaign! ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:40, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

I'd love to help with this. Is there a particular area that needs focus?

ArchitectureNerd (talk) 15:31, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

Hello @ArchitectureNerd:, first step is add your name to Wikipedia:WikiProject Cannabis/420 Collaboration. Then, there's a list of Redlinks on that page that identifies articles we're missing, so that can give you some ideas. You can also post on the Talk page of the collaboration, tell us what fields you're interested in and see if anyone has any suggestions. Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 22:21, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

Neat! Just added my name, and I look forward to collaborating! Let me know if you need help with anything specific @Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney:. ArchitectureNerd (talk) 00:40, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

re: Women In Cannabis

Great category idea, I'll try to contribute to the Category:Women in cannabis list. Also uploaded the logo to Women Grow as per your suggestion. Thanks! Kind of new, so wasn't sure how the copyright on logos worked. ArchitectureNerd (talk) 15:26, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

Random question, but I just tagged a page for the women in cannabis category and it organized it by first name instead of last. Did I do something incorrectly, or does this correct itself after a few days? Thanks for your help in advance! ArchitectureNerd (talk) 13:45, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Hello @ArchitectureNerd:, the code you need to sort by last name is at Template:DEFAULTSORT. Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 16:57, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Amazing, didn't know I had to specify. Thanks! ArchitectureNerd (talk) 17:09, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

No worries, lots of little tricks to learn, but you'll catch on fast and it'll be easy. Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney (talk) 17:11, 18 January 2017 (U
Have you noticed the user Calton has been nominating a number of cannabis related pages for deletion? @Goonsquad LCpl Mulvaney:. Pretty sure they're hitting the pages based on ideallogy, not disputing the actual notability and hoping people don't comment. Lisa Campbell and Tokyo Smoke were tagged for deletion even though sources clearly state notability.
Your mind-reading skills need work, User:ArchitectureNerd, best get on that right away.
I'm nominating based on their lack of actual notability and the hallmarks of using Wikipedia as an advertising/publicity medium; the latter is how I found this particular batch. I should also note that your "clearly state notability" is wrong in at least two respects: 1) "state" is not the same as "demonstrate", "show", or "prove"; and 2) at least on of your notability claims was false (the Vice article names the organization, not Lisa Campbell; Campbell is just quoted in the story).
I'm also curious, ArchitectureNerd: what's the "ideallogy" involved with a California website selling Chinese property and a mobile-services blog, both articles created by you? --Calton | Talk 05:35, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
