How you can help

Hi, sorry you've been having problems with editing from the school computer at User talk:65.117.156.5. The blocks appear to be anon only, so it shouldn't be a problem if you're logged in: if it's still giving difficulty, please let me know. Thanks, .. dave souza, talk 17:56, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your edit to Global warming[edit]

Regarding this edit to global warming, what exactly did you change? ~ UBeR 18:19, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I got rid of a few extra spaces. They can get on my nerves, and the article isn't affected by their removal.

Just so you know, it's very bad wikiquette to edit other people's user pages (except to remove vandalism). It's also not a good idea to make edits which change only one tiny thing (removing one comma, or one line of whitespace). If you can improve other things in the same edit, please do, if not the chances are that the next person to make a major edit will also spot the problem. —Vanderdeckenξφ 12:47, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, who are you talking to, Vanderdecken? I just made a new discussion section, if you were talking to me. The part about not editing to make small changes is absolute rubbish and nonsense.
Thanks for explaining, Gorank4. I appreciate your help. ~ UBeR 21:59, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling[edit]

This edit and this edit of yours do nothing but change spelling from British to US English. See WP:ENGVAR#National_varieties_of_English for why you generally should not do this. Alphonze 05:03, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation: WikiProject Autism[edit]

Greetings! You are hereby invited to WikiProject Autism, a collaborative effort to improve the coverage of autism, Asperger syndrome, and Autistic culture on Wikipedia. As the project emphasizes contribution from autistic editors, it is especially interested in you, who have chosen to list yourself as a Wikipedian with Asperger syndrome. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello, Gorank4. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Cannonbolt, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
