Quick note[edit]

Thanks for your contributions importing TCDB content. I see you've been getting lots of automated copyright notices, so I left a note for the operator of the bot doing the tagging to see about putting the website on the whitelist.

A couple of comments about the new articles that might help you:

  1. You usually create them in title case, with capital letters in the titles, whereas we usually use sentence case for article titles - this kind of minor stylistic variation sometimes stands out to people who are patrolling newly created articles looking for problems.
  2. Most of the new articles have incoming wikilinks only from other articles you've created. They'll be more useful and get more traffic if you introduce links from relevant existing pages. (This is how these articles came to my attention - I had flippase on my watchlist.)

Minor question[edit]

Wow, you've written a lot of good articles! I have one thing I was wondering about: with Disulfide Oxidoreductase D, might it be better capitalised as "Disulfide oxidoreductase D" on the article title (WP:MOS prefers sentence case) or is there a need to have a capital on 'Oxidoreductase'? Caps and cats[edit]

Hey, your recent contributions about membrane proteins are great, congratulations. Just wanted to let you know that since proteins are common nouns they are not fully capitalized. Also categories on articles should be stricly related to the subject and not redundant, so placing protein articles under the category Biology makes this category useless. A suggestion[edit]

I looked at this and not sure what's the problem, because according to website [1] tells: The text of this website is available for modification and reuse under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License. I would think this is fine for reusing the texts. This probably needs to be discussed with user Dianaa who left these messages on your page. Now, speaking about your "conflict of interest", this is actually your strength (I assume you work with creators of the database?). For example, if Dianaa tells that copyright of the original TCDB site should be changed to be acceptable on wikipedia, your collaborators might do just that. Or they can send an email to Wikimedia telling that they allow free reuse of the content, etc. My very best wishes (talk) 02:04, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Could you fix this page, please? Seriously, this page has no text, no any explanations, no referencing to secondary RS by third parties, etc. No wonder, some people claim the resource is garbage. As a practical matter, you probably should not create any new pages of the same kind during standing copyright investigation. After looking at this, I think everything was fixed in the currently existing pages, and the investigation is not needed, however, as a matter of fact, there were copyright violations and more than once.
