Copying within Wikipedia[edit]

Hi, I saw that you recently copied content from Draft:Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 to the mainspace article. However, Wikipedia's licensing requires you to provide attribution when you copy stuff within Wikipedia. Or in this case it would have been even better to just move the article. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 08:33, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, I'm a fairly new Wikipedia user and I wasn't aware. No malicious intent behind it, I just moved the content because I saw that the other draft got approved before. I apologise. Granfcanuon (talk) 10:18, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Added attribution on the page. If that doesn't suffice please let me know. As I said, I genuinely didn't intend to break any rules and simply copied content as I thought it would be more prudent on the other page, but it was my fault for not properly reading the guidelines. Wikipedia does have many many guidelines that are often very hard to remember, but at least I know this one and will not repeat it. Granfcanuon (talk) 10:24, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's okay, I also wasn't aware of that in the beginning. The attribution doesn't actually have to be in the article, an edit summary would suffice, but this is fine now. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 10:47, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Table width[edit]

Hi, I am wondering why you added style="width:100%; to the JESC tables? I personally think these make them only harder to read because everything is so far apart. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 12:54, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've been meaning to do them for a while as it is how all of the adult ESC tables are formatted. I personally think it makes them look a lot neater and easier to read, for me at least, so I decided to be bold and do it. I will stop if it's an issue but considering all of the adult ESC tables bar Romania are formatted in this way, it would be appropriate. Granfcanuon (talk) 12:56, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It was also already in practice on the Poland JESC article, which I did not do myself. Granfcanuon (talk) 12:58, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yeah you are right actually... Although I still think there should be more discussion about the layout of these articles; there have been several attempts at WT:ESC but not much has come out of it. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 13:08, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I can stop changing them now if that would resolve the issue. I personally think the JESC pages should be modelled closely after the ESC pages to avoid confusion and because it is an offshoot of ESC, but I am willing to wait for a discussion before implementing any further changes. Granfcanuon (talk) 13:15, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nah I think it's fine to continue implementing the changes, otherwise it's even more inconsistent. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 13:31, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will continue! Sorry for the delay, I fell asleep basically as soon as I wrote the previous comment lmao. Granfcanuon (talk) 00:18, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for December 12[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Eurovision Song Contest 2018, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Arouca and Aveiro. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Austria in Eurovision 2022[edit]

I’m sorry, I’m sure I had read that in the ESCXTRA article, don’t even know why. Thanks for cleaning it up. 〜イヴァンスクルージ九十八[IvanScrooge98]会話 10:05, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
