Mary Fairburn[edit]

I've left a note at the talk page of Joe Decker asking him why he deleted your original Articles for Creation submission instead of merely declining it. He does say he is busy at the moment, so it may take a while to respond. As a fantasy fan, I think Mary should definitely have an article, so I'd be willing to help you craft it, and the first stage in my opinion (other than deciding which biographical details to keep in and which bits to leave out) is to try and work out why he deleted the draft so if we use the existing text as a basis there's no reason for someone to judge it a copyright violation. Joe has responded. The original article apparently copied a lot from the TLS source. What we/you need to do is redraft a brief summary of that source in your own words that keeps more to the subject of the actual illustrations she worked on rather than extraneous detail of her background. We also need to delete the draft you're keeping in userspace, because we can't leave copyright material visible. Do you have any other sources that would help expand on Mary's work for Tolkien?
