Thank you for your hint. I take note concerning the exact meaning of "Minor edit" for the future. Sorry for having been unaware of that. Cordially, L. Nikogosyan Nikogosyan (talk) 11:19, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for your note about the former players section and I understand the Wikipedia guidelines concerning citations.

The following section is accurate (and Southall FC's current chairman is pictured making the presentation), however currently this event is not referenced anywhere else online. I am authorised to update the Southall F.C. Wikipedia page by the club and have been adding information and images.

I am in contact with Southall F.C. regarding the citation and hopefully something will be added to their official website that will verify the accuracy of this section.

If you would be able to bear with me, I am actively looking into rectifying this so the event described can be referenced and verified.

On 14 October 2017, the grandson and great grandson of Charles Roach, who holds the record for most goals in a season for Southall FC (57), were guests of the club for Southall's Spartan South Midlands League Division One home game at Burnham FC's The Gore, against Brimsdown. Charles' grandson Brian Roach (pictured right), who grew up in Southall and watched the team play at Western Road, was at the game as part of his 75th birthday celebrations with his son Mark (Charles' great grandson). He talked to the Southall players in the dressing room before the game and the club presented him with a framed Southall FC shirt on the pitch prior to kick-off. Southall won 5-1, on their way to winning the 2017-18 Division One title. Brian is a former Reading FC director and was agent for former Chelsea and England striker Kerry Dixon, Arsenal and England defender Lee Dixon, Chelsea, Liverpool and Scotland striker David Speedie, and Arsenal winger Brian Marwood. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark Roach Southall FC (talkcontribs) 13:25, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Mark Roach Southall FC, if you are "authorised to update the Southall F.C. Wikipedia page by the club" then you have a conflict of interest and should follow the instructions left on your talk page by Ezlev a few months ago. Greyjoy talk 14:14, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

I confirm that I do not have any official role or link with Southall FC and they did not ask for me to represent them in any way in updating the Southall FC Wikipedia page. By use of the word 'authorised' I simply meant that the club is aware that I am doing updates.Mark Roach Southall FC (talk) 14:41, 7 January 2021 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark Roach Southall FC (talkcontribs) 14:22, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

I have updated the page for Danny Duncan with a reliable source. Sorry for the confusion, I am fairly new to Wikipedia. Thanks for the heads up. Let me know if there is anything else I need to clarify or fix. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rileyrutter (talkcontribs) 06:35, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

Rileyrutter I want to thank you for taking the time to try and improve Wikipedia, however the source you have used is not considered reliable. I am going to leave a welcome message on your talk page which has some useful links for getting started on Wikipedia. Greyjoy talk 06:38, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

I just updated the Danny Duncan page with his birthday from a reliable source. The source is a video on YouTube from a channel that spoke to Danny Duncan's assistant directly and gathered the information. Thanks for helping me out at the beginning. Let me know if there is anything else I should do. Thanks again. Rileyrutter (talk) 18:50, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi GreyJoy I have Bruce's birth certificate in my possession. He was my grandfather and I also have his son sitting right next to me as I type. The cited reference is the Independent newspaper, which got the date wrong in its obituary for my grandad.

BennyBoyW I appreciate that mistakes can happen, however Wikipedia is based on what is reported in accessible reliable sources. Do you have anything published in reliable sources with his birthdate that we can use as a reference for the change? Greyjoy talk 12:37, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi Again Either the official BoxRec page (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/037004) would do as the proper reference or we could arrange to send you a scan of the birth certificate if that would be helpful ? Scanning the birth certificate would probably take a couple of days to organise. Thanks Ben — Preceding unsigned comment added by BennyBoyW (talkcontribs) 12:52, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

BennyBoyW the boxrec should do the job, no real point in sending a birth cert to me because it isn't verifiable by other editors. Greyjoy talk 14:34, 29 January 2021 (UTC)

KillerWhaleGuy you will need to be a bit more specific, which edits of mine do you have issue with? Which article are you referring to? Greyjoy talk 07:06, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
Greyjoy, there's a history of block evasion and copyright infringement at Luna (killer whale), which is connected to the WP:COI editing at Michael Harris (producer). This could be brought to any one of several noticeboards, but ANI may be the best place for comprehensive action, since multiple users and articles look to be involved. Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Mrs Phinch (Ms Coggan) believes that it was her who started the day and will not allow ANYONE to edit the page. Other edits in the past have resulted in her changing the page back. I am not changing anything about herself, just updating the relevant sections that need to be done as the day has now grown and has gotten bigger around the world. Her accusation of extensive vandalism is wrong, the page gets updated/cleaned up regularly by wikipedia editors. I ask that my edits are considered as Ms Coggan has a big COI in the page and only wants to make the reflect that she is the only one who knows anything about this. I have had many exchanges with Ms Coggan regarding this and she is not mentally stable to make any judgments regarding the page.R.Kate De'Laney (talk) 11:54, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

R.Kate De'Laney this is best discussed on the article talk page, if the problem continues you can begin a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. Edit warring and making personal attacks "Ms Coggan regarding this and she is not mentally stable" will just cause you to lose the ability to make edits. Greyjoy talk 12:35, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
I see that someone has already began a discussion at the incident board and that the page has been protected. This is the perfect time to discuss on the article talk page and reach a consensus with other editors. Greyjoy talk 12:38, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

What if there is no relevant subcategory? --Egeymi (talk) 07:35, 25 March 2021 (UTC)

Clement Mouhot

Mouhot is a professional mathematician (of some distinction). His qualifications and achievements are listed in the bibliography on the wikipage and in his CV on his Cambridge website. No formal qualifications in sociology or psychology are listed. There are no relevant subjects listed on his Research (on his website) page either. This puts his actions in context. It might be useful to add a sentence along the lines of: (It should be noted that Prof. Mouhot has no formal qualifications in sociology or psychology.) This is appropriate, given the gravity of the situation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Friend of all the world (talkcontribs) 10:08, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

To implement the change you suggested we would need a specific source to reference to support the claim, otherwise it borders on original research. IMO adding "Despite having no expertise in the area" to the start doesn't really improve or add to the text. Greyjoy talk 11:01, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

We could refer to Mouhot's website. There is no record of formal qualifications in the relevant areas on his CV. It is perfectly resonable to infer from that that he is not in possession of such formal qualifications. We are not going to be able to cite a reference which says just that. Such negative statements are reasonably inferred from the lack of evidence to the contrary. For example, I don't list on my CV facts such as: I possess no formal qualifications in Sanscrit.

I disagree with your opinion that it doesn't improve or add to the text. This was a highly controversial action. The fact that many of the chief instigators, including Mouhot, were not competent to judge is highly relevant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Friend of all the world (talkcontribs) 12:18, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

I would suggest discussing your suggested change on the article talk page so that other editors familiar with the subject can weigh in and a consensus can be reached. Greyjoy talk 12:38, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

Akong Rinpoche

Hi there - thanks for helping with the editing. Sorry if I've been making alot of work for you - I am a bit of newbie at this! I noticed that you added back in the link on Akong Rinpoches page which links to page entitled Male Murder victims. To be honest I am not sure why it was there in the first place. Yes, he was murdered and yes he is male as it clearly says on his page and I am in no way disputing this. I know it's not a major issue-it doesn't add or detract from the activities made in his lifetime. I am not questioninng the pages accuracy but I do question why when there are on average 350,000 male murders worldwide committed every year, why out of the millions of murders only a few select individuals are singled out of this on this page? By omitting all the other millions of male murders it does not give a true representation statistically and seems to me to just sensationalising a handful of select individuals and their murders and is therefore in conflict with the ethos of objectivity. If the page was more specific such as murders of famous/notable people etc it would be more representative. But like I say not a major point - just wanted to give my reasons for choosing to omit it. Sarahcannell (talk) 08:55, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Sarahcannell, if you have an issue with the existence and use of the Category:Male murder victims, you are welcome to start a discussion on the category's talk page. "Why when there are on average 350,000 male murders worldwide committed every year, why out of the millions of murders only a few select individuals are singled out of this on this page", if each of these 350,000 victim had a Wiki page I would add them to the category as well. However most of them do not meet the notability requirements required for Wikipedia. Greyjoy talk 11:45, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Greyjoy Thanks for the advice I didn't know I could add it for discussion on the categories talk page. Is there a link to show me how to do this? Sarahcannell (talk) 12:32, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Sarahcannell, if you click on the category at the bottom of Rinpoche's page it will take you to the category page, like other articles there is a tab at the top called "Talk", that is where discussions about specific categories can be started. Greyjoy talk 14:12, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi Greyjoy,

In response to your edit reason ("Categories should reflect what is included in the article, feel free to add a reference to the article supporting this claim"):

It is currently reflected in the article. The cause of death is listed as hydrogen sulfide, and that is cited in the article. I am not reverting your edit atm as I don't want to risk starting an edit war. I'm curious about your reasoning. Perhaps you missed that the cause of death and citation? :) --Karlshammar (talk) 01:45, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

Ed Gein - list of songs about serial killers

I'm not sure how you're defining "serial killer" if Ed Gein isn't one. Even if we insist on making that distinction, it seems ridiculous to leave him out of this list. I don't think the article should try to clarify that difference, unless there's going to be a separate article called "list of songs about murderers who are not serial killers". Anyone who comes to the original list is not going to care about, say, Ricky Kasso not being a technical serial killer; they're instead going to wonder why the extant songs about him aren't mentioned. I propose that we recategorize and rename the list to simply "List Of Songs About Murderers", or something similar.

Tattered&Torn (talk) 21:50, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

Tattered&Torn, a serial killer is usually defined as a person who murders 3+ people over a period of > 30 days.[1] Any proposed changes to the article can be made at the article's talk page. Greyjoy talk 22:00, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed you reverted all the COI additions to the article. I did the same thing (yesterday?), but then I realized that the article before the COI edits has a huge amount of material, pretty much all unsourced, whereas the COI edits, even though they may be inappropriate, had a fair number of sources, so I restored the COI edits. The reality is that what needs to be done is take the COI version as the base and then edit it so that it's a decent article. I know I'm not interested in doing that, but perhaps you are? I can see that you create a lot of content, so... --Bbb23 (talk) 21:12, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

I am paid by my agency, so while I accept there is a COI, I am not paid directly by Thompsons... but they do like my writing, so Woo Hoo. Don't make it a warzone for different political, religious and castist groups. Let it be an information page instead of a controversy creater HardikDodia (talk) 08:00, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

HardikDodia, Wikipedia is not censored and the information appears to be properly referenced. If you have an issue with the inclusion you can discuss on the article's talk page. Greyjoy talk 08:02, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

Make it a well managed and censored platform instead of a comment section on social media where anybody can dump any misinformation on Wikipedia. If it is harmful for our social integrity and harmony, we can remove it. This article can cause threat to our society HardikDodia (talk) 08:07, 29 October 2021 (UTC)

One guy from youtube told his followers to edit the page and delete all criticism. That is reason. This guy also commented there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLMaoIykA_w&lc=UgyaCzDu_20HDsz70ut4AaABAg — Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.46.66.167 (talk) 08:31, 29 October 2021 (UTC) One of the extended users User:Venkat TL is abusing his editing privilege to remove multiple sections from that page. Please restore all those texts and ask that editor not to remove content without proper discussion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2409:4040:E8D:D002:1458:11F6:E1DE:F689 (talk) 12:43, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
