Information icon Hello, I'm GiantSnowman. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Jordan Henderson have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. GiantSnowman 21:44, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

Are you mad? Gsfelipe94 (talk) 23:59, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
In this edit you changed Henderson's full name to "Jordan Brian scored against Ukrainian Henderson" and also removed a valid external link?! GiantSnowman 07:39, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
Most likely another update by a vandal while I was trying to add the international goals update. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 17:52, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
I mean it was clearly added by you in the diff above! GiantSnowman 19:54, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
As I mentioned: someone added it before, so when I copied the whole text to add the international goals section to the article due to edit conflict, it went there as well. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 20:09, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
So you should have checked the edit you were making before re-introducing vandalism. GiantSnowman 21:26, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
That's obvious. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 23:40, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Eurocup

In the "summary" topic, there are no 3rd or 4th places, but that's ok. It's not wrong, but "Results" topic is wrong.

First, from 1984 onwards, there was no dispute for third place, but that does not mean that they were sorted in alphabetical order.

That doesn't exist in football. If it did, then Atletico Madrid would be Spanish champions, if there were no matches in the Spanish national league.

The teams were sorted by the campaign made during a competition.

Somebody should fix this information by placing West Germany and Wales as third placed, respectively in 1988 and 2016.

Worthless contribution

What was the point of reverting when you yourself were reverted within 5 minutes? Either add the info to the background section yourself or spare the community your worthless contributions!!! 197.46.58.18 (talk) 23:20, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Because I was making an example out of you, John Doe. You're not even registered, so stop your BS. The correct update was being added while I reverted yours (as you can see by my immediate update to wrong sources and text adjustment. See ya. Keep up doing worthless updates, JD. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 23:53, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
So basically you reverted because you're triggered that I beat you to the edit. That does not qualify as "making an example of" anything. Cassiopeia beat you to it too. Wikipedia is a collaborative effort and you don't need to be registered to make meaningful contributions. If anyone's full of BS it's you. I know it's embarrassing being called out by a "John Doe" but consider this a learning lesson for the future and move on. 197.46.58.18 (talk) 00:07, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
Lol at you for thinking so high of yourself. This isn't a race. I've done such updates before by means of raising attention to correct updates. If you were correct, then I would've reverted the other edit because the fight wasn't removed from the fight card. You should learn it and move on if you want to keep updating things. Specially not putting a signature behing those things so we can track your willingness to learn. Bye speedster. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 00:14, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
At the time I made my edit the fight had been removed from the fight card. Like I said, your revert was absolutely pointless as my edit was literally restored within 5 minutes. Appreciate your advice but my edits can be publically tracked via my IP. Bye. 197.46.58.18 (talk) 04:16, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

Fencing sources?

Hello, PensRule. As you may have noticed, I just reverted your recent edits to Fencing at the 2020 Summer Olympics, as they included no reference citations. Can you tell me where you got your information? I've been struggling to find some good sources, but haven't found any. Meanwhile, people keep adding "stuff" to the article, with neither explanation nor sources. Thanks, — JohnFromPinckney (talk / edits) 09:47, 27 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi, Pls read the edit summary and there was the explanation before revert. The verification guidelines is the core policy of Wikipedia. - see WP:BURDEN. IIf you can find a source (I tried but cant find a source) to verify the content claimed then you pls provide. If not, then pls self revert your edit. Cassiopeia talk 03:52, 8 August 2021 (UTC)

Main event is confirmed. That's a fact. Regarding the TUF information, there are tweets and the poster, though no official post in any news site is available at the moment. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 03:55, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
OK. We will add in the TUF info when source is available. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 05:37, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
I agree that sometimes we have to wait for better sources, but we get a lot of situations like these and information could get lost in the meanwhile. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 21:21, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

Gsfelipe9, it is as per Sherdog source just like any other article and as per WPMMA guidelines. - pls read edit summary and check Sherdog web page first prior changing next time - see [as per existing source - [see https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Nick-Diaz-2831 Sherdog-Nick Diaz here]. Cassiopeia talk 22:57, 25 September 2021 (UTC)

I already saw it and we have thousands of fighters with results overturned by NSAC just like him. Consistency is the word. We change all of them to the same way of Diaz or just keep it as overturned? Everytime you only think one way, can't look outside the box at all. Frustrating. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 23:07, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
Hi Felipe, I understand your frustration and there are things I would not agree in certain Wikipedia guidelines but since this is Wikipedia and we are Wikipedians we have to adhere to the guidelines (WP:MMA and WP:V) instead invent our own if we keep on doing so, then there would thousands of variations how we want to do it. We could use common sense and editing norm at times where we could discuss about it, but when there is a guidelines, we should follow. Enjoy the fights (UFC 266) - and I wish you a wonderful weekend. Cheers and stay safe. Cassiopeia talk 23:22, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
I don't believe you do based on previous situations. Also based on similar discussions created in the past based on blindless guidelines. As mentioned several times previously, Sherdog is not a God or Bible for mma results. It is the main "go to" website and portal, but we can and should use other sources when needed. It's the same issue with sources as I've asked for a pattern for years and the it's always ignored. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 23:36, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
Felipe, The guidelines was establish long ago, and I believe (I was not in the discussion) to use one source is better than more for it will create a lot of editing warrings due to many editors would disagreement of which source to use. The bottom line is if there is a guidelines, we adhere, if not we can discuss and see how we could improve the editing. You and I have been editing mma pages for years now, and I believe you also know my frustrations in many other things especially the vandalism and the patriotism of editors to their heritage/bloodline/ethnicity fighters adding what they deem sensible/common sense as against the guidelines which I have to revert and explained almost daily (literally thousands of thousands of time especially in vandalism edits),. So I know about your frustrations. Let's enjoy the fight Felipe, I am looking forward for the title fights and especially the return of 209. You take care and best. Cassiopeia talk 23:44, 25 September 2021 (UTC)

I don't get why you reverted the outcome back to retirement. He didn't retire. Kikiopae (talk) 14:07, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

flagicons

Bom dia, Gsfelipe94. Thanks for your hard work in editing wikipedia. In your edits, please refrain from using flagicons as decoration or in infoboxes like you've done on the Corinthians season articles. The MOS guidelines tell us to avoid using flags in infoboxes, which you can read about here: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football/Nationality#Pre_Consideration_(about_how_to_use_flags_in_WP_Football). Cheers. Rupert1904 (talk) 22:55, 26 September 2021 (UTC)

Felipe, as per the source you cited - [https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/2021/10/ufc-fight-night-195-aspen-ladd-norma-dumont-in-results-live-video-stream here. It stated - Julian Marquez doesn't make it to scale, ruled out, Julian Marquez was pulled from his scheduled bout with Jordan Wright due to “non-COVID health issues and Marquez was pulled from the card because of “non-COVID health issues,” the UFC announced during the weigh-ins.” but didnt directly stated the bout was cancelled. Pls let me where the text stated the bout was cancelled if I have missed it (by the way by source stated the bout cancelled) I think you like to change it because you like to use the source you deem fit as you change every event sources even the sources are stated the same info. Note, Wikipedia guidelines stated as long as the source are reliable and independent then the can be used and dont need to just stick to a few sources as an editor preference over other editor cited sources. Articles in Wikipedia is the collaboration from many editors and no one own them even the creators of the pages or the guidelines or norm is control or have the last say by an editor in regardless the editor is a experienced editor or admin. I am here to work with other editors as you have seen many of my edits and discussion and I am here to work with you as well. I hope you understand this. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 22:21, 16 October 2021 (UTC)

"One fight was lost from the card after the UFC announced that Julian Marquez was pulled from his scheduled bout with Jordan Wright due to “non-COVID health issues.”". Gsfelipe94 (talk) 22:54, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
But it doesnt specific which bout. The other source I added specified which bout was cancelled and that is the different. Since I am here I will also address the source format you have been frustrated and complain about. I have mentioned to you at least 3 times that the source input is by Wikipedia tool - Visual Editor. The initiall source format is not that yours but what it was input, if you want to stay consistence then follow the initial source format, and if you want to change them, then do it and dont be upset with other editors or get frustration each and every time you made the source format changed. You might be a perfectionist, as you are in medical field and I understand that, and at times would like your format or how the sentence structure to of yours, but this is Wikipedia, if the copy edit can be improve and if you willing then do so but to keep on changed the sources as the one you like even the sources in the pages can be verified the content claim as long as the source are reliable and independent (sources can be in any languages) is just seem like you want to have your own say (owning the article) and or you sources are more accurate or supreme then the others - this does not make other editors feel good about their edits and undermine their contribution. Remember, we are here to collaboration and dont put negative command on the edit summary ((be gentle) especially toward the regular contributor just because they dont edit the same way as yours (you dont see any other mma editors do that except toward the vandalised editors which we will place warning messages to deter them to do so). I have no issues you correcting my grammar, as I have {https://www.irlensyndrome.org/what-is-irlen-syndrome/?gclid=CjwKCAjw8KmLBhB8EiwAQbqNoKNU0e1Jzuyb6Ydtxi57RzNe1mmy-azNTS6CEnWoTJw5a7deGB_SYhoCRRYQAvD_BwE Irlen Syndrome] and I dont read the text like most ppl and I missed world or made sentences at times they dont make sense.) Felipe, if you think you are frustrated, do remember, I do counter vandalism work and more than 50K of my edits or more are counter vandalism/disruptive edits and I sent literally thousands of message to new editors about edits related to WP:MMA guidelines to the new editors, thus I understand your frustration at times. You take care and hope Covid-19 in Brazil has passed the Delta variance by now for here in Australia we just ended our 5 months lockdown a few days go. Stay safe. Cassiopeia talk 23:39, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
Of course it does. It's all within the same text. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 23:49, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
to you but not to me. The source I added is "specifically" support the claim. Cassiopeia talk 23:59, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
The problem is your text interpretation then. The source has everything about the weigh-ins and the fight cancelation. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 00:08, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
The issue is we interpret differently and not indication which fight was dropped and as I said the source I added has no ambiguity to any one of which fight was cancelled - that is the different. To me you just need to have the last say and correct every editors text as you think you know it all and a master that is owning the article which is the violation of Wikipedia guidelines. Pls do think about what I have said above, as it does not make all the mma editors feel conformable and dont think they dont feel that way as they just dont want to fight with you but just go along with editing. If you think other editors have problem do reflect of your own - be tactful and polite. I dont like to say this but it happened long enough. We are all here to help to improve the pages and be gentle of your own and collorabitve with others and dont own the articles. Discussion end for me here. Cassiopeia talk 00:20, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
The text is pretty clear regarding which fight was removed. Not only that particular sentence (you can change the context and the phrase will work for everything), but the whole article shows that only that the only bout with an issue was that one. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 00:23, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
Again to you but not to me and my source clearly stated which bout where no editor will refute the claim - you dont need to be always need to be right - or have the last say - that is your issue and do reflect on that. Be tactful in your edit summaries. Cassiopeia talk 00:43, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

@Island92: Er... why was I summoned here? :v While I am sure that FRA-KAZ match finished before BEL-EST match a little bit, and I appreciate consistency, in this case I think a minor discrepancy does not hurt. If someone places Belgium above France (alphabetically), it is OK too. If sources say clearly that France qualified before Belgium, then we will follow chronological order. UFC weights

MOS:CONVERSIONS says Where English-speaking countries use different units for the same quantity, provide a conversion in parentheses. This is clear, and conversion templates are used for weights in almost all articles on Wikipedia. So I don't see the issue with using it on UFC 269, as reverting it to just pounds (which is an Americanism) is a violation of this MOS. Joseph2302 (talk) 09:23, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

Also, please assume WP:AGF], which you didn't do in the comment You just showed up of nowhere to add this here unnecessarily I showed up after seeing this listed at [[WP:ITNC], just because I'm not a regular UFC editor doesn't make my MOS points any less valid. LOL at you with that warning. You reverted other edits due to being stubborn. Everybody gets tired of talking with you here. I'm just another one. Hey! Honestly I don't remember those situations, but that's because they would not the biggest news here anyway (just like any other place I presume). That being said, I do believe what was added is relevant considering the controversy surrounded. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 22:28, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Ways to improve List of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (women) seasons

Hello, Gsfelipe94,

Thank you for creating List of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (women) seasons.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

This article has no references and in its present state, does not meet notability for sports.
This article needs more references to satisfy notability for sport. What is needed are references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact referred to, that meet these tough criteria is likely to allow this article to remain.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Check List of FC Barcelona Femení seasons. It has the same issue. There's not a lot of sources to be used atm. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 00:33, 5 May 2022 (UTC)

An article you recently created, List of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (women) seasons, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. MMA record - notes

The standard format for the MMA record notes section across the majority if not all MMA articles is to list the bouts which are the exception to the weight class as "[weight class] bout." Stop messing it up in the Luke Rockhold and Leon Edwards articles. IPIPIPIP (talk) 05:44, 21 August 2022 (UTC)

Stop saying non-sense stuff. You just updated porn articles with this account. You are edit warring via unregistered user and this account. I've been updating mma articles for years. Everytime a fighter make his/her debut in a division, we add "Division debut". When there's a real return to another division, we add the "Return to". If it's just an one bout at that division (and the fighter already fought at that weight before) we add the "Divison bout". Stop edit warring or you'll be reported in your first attempt. You're being disruptive. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 16:06, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
I've observed the majority of MMA articles following the format I've described. The "division debut" is written in the notes section when a fighter begins fighting in a new weight class and not for one-off fights such as Luke Rockhold did. In that case, it's simply written "weight class bout" for the one-off specific fight. Also, the very first pro fight a martial artist has does not mention "weightclass debut" in the notes section as is anomalously found in the Leon Edwards article. It seems you're the one talking non-sense my friend and you don't have a monopoly over editing MMA articles. Cassiopeia would appreciate your input to resolve this matter civilly. IPIPIPIP (talk) 19:12, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
For your information I was the one who adjusted the majority of the articles with that display, so you couldn't be talking to a better person right now. We should always note when a fighter makes a their weight class debut. If Rockhold had already fought at LHW, then you'd be correct. When we're not sure whether a fighter already fought in that divison, then we just add "bout" to it. You should stick to porn articles as you've never updated anything other than that until your edit warring now. That's pretty clear when you out of the blue call Cassiopeia like it's the ultimate resolution for the situation. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 20:43, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
I merely requested an experienced/familiar editor to comment and provide their input. I understand the point you made regarding Rockhold, fine. But what about Edwards? Why would his very first fight list "weight class debut" which doesn't appear in the majority of articles? Should it be removed or should all the other fighters have it included for consistency? IPIPIPIP (talk) 23:54, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
Every fighter that we are aware of the weight classed they fought in their first fight has the division added. If we're not certain, then we don't do it (just like I mentioned above). Gsfelipe94 (talk) 01:05, 22 August 2022 (UTC)

Sofascore line-up is not reliable and out of the practice. At least we need FIFA pdf documents, not that one. Island92 (talk) 18:46, 24 November 2022 (UTC)

There's no FIFA pdf documents available and the official broadcast lineups are extremely innacurate. I've been discussing with S.A. Julio on his talk page about it. He suggested Soccerway as well, but there's also been a few discrepancies. Still they're way more accurate than the official one. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 00:45, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
If there are not FIFA pdf documents available the most suitable line-up is that showed live during the broadcast graphic, more or less five minutes before kick-off time.--Island92 (talk) 17:47, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
As mentioned, they've been extremely off. RB listed as LB and the opposite as well, CB listed as LF... I'm not the only one who sees it. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 20:29, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
I know. User S.A. Julio knows positions properly.--Island92 (talk) 18:10, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

2023 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A

Valeu! Gsfelipe94 (talk) 15:59, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

Ilia Topuria article

Change Ilia's fight with Jai Herbert from "Lightweight debut" to "Lightweight bout," because it was a one off.

Also, please remove "return to featherweight" from his fight with Bryce Mitchell.

If you do not think it wasn't a one off, please cite your sources. Standard practice in Wikipedia is when a fighter has a oneoff fight in a different weight class, and is not making a permanent change, you write "Xweight bout," not Xweight "debut." His fight with Bryce Mitchell was not his "return to featherweight," it is his regular weight class.

Again, a citation is needed if you are aware of a permanent change to lightweight. 2607:FEA8:1F9F:BB00:40A5:D9D2:1920:E8C1 (talk) 20:57, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

I've been editing mma articles for years... I don't know about you since you're unregistered, but it seems not. I know all of the standards for MMA (actually helped create a lot of them). You're right to a point, however when a fighter makes their debut in a division, we always add it as debut. Even if it was just one bout. That's the correct form.
