Using Talk pages[edit]

Hello, Gunther, and welcome to Wikipedia. I notice that there was a small problem in the edit request you placed at Talk: Pakistan. Talk pages, whether the talk page of an article like that or your user talk page here, are structured with the most recent section of discussion opened at the bottom of the page. This helps other editors know which discussions are closed, stale, or active. You can do this easily by clicking the "New section" tab that appears at the top of every talk page. This will open an edit window exactly like the one created by the "Edit" tab but also provide you a "Subject/headline" field and place the text at the correct position. It is also helpful if you sign your posts. You can do this most easily by typing a row of four tilde characters at the end of your post. E.g.: ~~~~ I hope this helps. Hi Eggishorn, thanks for the welcome and the hint. I will make sure to add new sections of talk pages at the bottom rather than at the top from now on! Gunther Klobe (talk) 18:17, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
