Hi there. I am one of the coordinators for the Guild of Copy Editors. I was adding up the totals for the May backlog elimination drive and I saw your note that you had done a very minor edit. Since the word count was based on the entire article, including the lists of tour schedules and past winners, and your edits were only to the first section, you would only count that section in your word count instead of the count given by the word count tool. But I went back and made some additional changes; you can look at them here to see a few other things you would want to do during a copy edit. If you want to leave things as is, I will count the section you worked on. But if you'd like to go back and format all the other information, I can put your on hold and give you a few days to get that worked out. Then you can get credit for the whole thing. You can reply here; I will keep an eye on your talk page looking out for a response. If I don't hear anything, I'll give you credit for the section. If you're interested in doing more copy editing, you can check out the manual of style for a comprehensive listing of most grammar and punctuation rules. Cheers, and thanks for helping out! —Torchiest talkedits 03:27, 2 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
