Resubmission

Hi Hallows,

I recently made some edits to my article for creation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Dwight_Hall_Socially_Responsible_Investment_Fund) and would appreciate if you could take another look at it when you have time. I've done quite a bit of research on the topic and have essentially cited all the sources that pop up on google. Several of them are blogs and magazines, but these are all written by professionals in the field which I believe are acceptable after reading the wikipage on reliable sources. For instance, some of the sources I cited include CSRwire (http://www.csrwire.com/about), FA magazine (http://www.fa-mag.com/), the Hauser Center for Nonprofits at Harvard (http://www.hks.harvard.edu/hauser/tour/), the Yale Alumni Magazine (http://www.yalealumnimagazine.com/), and the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (http://www.aashe.org/). Since the subject matter is relatively new and not very widespread, information about it is essentially limited to those sources, so trying to find more has kind of been a Catch-22. I appreciate your time and help, and hapPi Pi day!

Done Resolved. Cheers, Hallows Aktiengesellschaft (talk) 21:13, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion altered.

I just wanted to tell u that the article that u tagged for A3 i.e., Too Cute (TV series) had content, so A3 in not eligible in it. I removed A3 and tagged it for A7 which is eligible criteria for it to get deleted. Read the description in CSD properly to avoid errors. I gess that u r new at new page patrolling. Enjoy doing it and keep up the good work. Thanks! Yasht101 23:24, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

Oops, it is not eligible for A7 too as the show is significant So we cant delete it and i have added reference to it inorder to verify. Happy editing! Yasht101 23:30, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
I edited it again. A3 should be adequate. Cheers, Hallows (talk) 23:34, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
It is not adequate. And if u keep on missusing CSD tags, then u may be blocked in future. Tagging page for CSD, prod, Afd creates panic among new users. Also they may leave wikipedia if u missuse Deletion tags. And we dont want to loose any user just because someone wants to delete pages that they tagged to get the tagging successful. A3 applies where there is just external link section or reference section or just a infobox. Too Cute has a line written in description. Even just a word written in description will avoid A3. Then u should go for A1. But the sub is identifical so A7. But the sub is also important so then no CSD. Please take care of my advise. I will not like u to see being critized or blocked (if u continue the missuse). Yasht101 23:44, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
Misusing CSD tags? I haven't misused any tags. You should see my my CSD log and see that I am familiar with the CSD criteria. --Hallows (talk) 23:54, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
I saw that. It is good to see enthusisam by a editor for tagging new pages. U missused it in Too Cute. A3 means "no description". And too cute had one line description. You missused it when i removed a3 and u again tagged it for a3. Restoring CSD taggs without any specific reason is also Vandalism as it is missleading. But humans make mistake. Becoming an excellent editor is a long process of learning from mistakes. I hope that u didnt feel offended due to my post as i dont want to see any kind of mispractice on wikipedia. I m sorry if u felt bad. Thank u! Yasht101 00:09, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 20

Hi. When you recently edited Physynth, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Musical (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

help triage some feedback

Hey guys.

I appreciate this isn't quite what you signed up for, but I figured as people who are already pretty good at evaluating whether material is useful or not useful through Special:NewPages, you might be interested :). Over the last few months we've been developing the new Article Feedback Tool, which features a free text box. it is imperative that we work out in advance what proportion of feedback is useful or not so we can adjust the design accordingly and not overwhelm you with nonsense.

This is being done through the Feedback Evaluation System (FES), a tool that lets editors run through a stream of comments, selecting their value and viability, so we know what type of design should be promoted or avoided. We're about to start a new round of evaluations, beginning with an office hours session tomorrow at 18:00 UTC. If you'd like to help preemptively kill poor feedback, come along to #wikimedia-office and we'll show you how to use the tool. If you can't make it, send me an email at okeyes@wikimedia.org or drop a note on my talkpage, and I'm happy to give you a quick walkthrough in a one-on-one session :).

All the best, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 21:33, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

Welcome to the Teahouse!

Hi Hallows AG! Thank you for signing up to be a future host at the Teahouse. Well, great news - the future is here, we'd love you to be a Teahouse host! During this pilot time, Teahouse hosts do more than just ask questions - they invite new users to the Teahouse and track those invitations, they also provide input and insight into the development of the Teahouse. A few things I'd love to see you do as a Teahouse host:

  • First, declare your Hostness! Add yourself to the Host page! This page is where new editors and your fellow hosts can learn about you and reach out. By signing up here you declare that you know how to serve up a great cup of tea. Add yourself here.
  • Learn more about your responsibilities as a host. Teahouse hosts have certain responsibilities during this pilot. If you feel you can't meet them, perhaps a host role isn't for you during this important pilot.
  • Invite new users with our invite guide. Aside from answering questions, the most important thing we need you to do as a host is to invite new users. Please follow these steps and invite as many as you can to experience the Teahouse. Also, please document your experience in the spreadsheet link provided on that page!
  • Visit the tips page. The tips page provides you some basic tips on how to engage with visitors at the Teahouse. We have a special way of doing things - unlike other areas of Wikipedia! (Such as greeting new editors with a simple "Hi!" and being as easy to understand and friendly as possible.)
  • Join the conversation by participating on the host lounge talk pages. We also have an IRC channel now for hosts to get to know one another, develop your skills, and eventually the channel will serve as an additional help space for new editors!
  • To visit the IRC channel: #wikipedia-teahouse connect (Feel free to ask me for help if you're having trouble connecting!)

I'm so happy that you volunteered to lend a hand at the Teahouse. I look forward to following your contributions and invitations, and your assistance in making the Teahouse a great and warm place for new Wikipedians. See you there :) Sarah (talk) 21:50, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
