Agarwal[edit]

Please cite your references when making changes. See WP:Policies and specially WP:Verify for details.nids(♂) 17:33, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For your edit on Agarwal, i shall explain you that there are both Bisa and Dassa agarwals. Gupta is much widely used term and cannot be categorised into either of them. nids(♂) 17:35, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok please explain how there are are bisa and dasa aggarwals. I was under the impression that there are bisa and dasa baniyas but agarwals are bisa baniyas. Gupta can be used widely but it also a caste among baniyas. Hariyali 18:13, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, you should reply on other user's talk page per wikietiquettes. But i will explain you the difference here. Traditionally there were just aggarwals. Then there were some who drank alchohol and ate meat. They were then discarded from the main community. They were then called Dassa Agarwals. But now, you will not find Dassa Agarwals as all claim themselves to be Bisa. Gupta is not a caste among Baniyas, but just a surname. For example, My mamaji is of Mangal Gotra but writes Gupta. You should also go through the difference between, Varna, Gotra, Biradari and Surname. Caste is too ambiguous a term. For example, Sunil mittal. His varna is Vanika, Gotra Mittal, Biradari Aggarwal and Surname Mittal. You can have any surname, i.e. your gotra, biradari or even Gupta.nids(♂) 18:44, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Dilliwala[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Dilliwala, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. A tag has been placed on Apeejay Stya Education Research Foundation (ASERF), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Ironholds (talk) 19:07, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Apeejay Stya Education Research Foundation (ASERF). If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:24, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Swraj Paul[edit]

I notice your recent change to Swraj Paul. Please cite your references when making changes. See WP:Policies and specially WP:Verify. Thanks. BrainyBabe (talk) 17:20, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ACtually the information mentioned on the page that he managed the apeejay overseas business that itself can't be verified. Also the group never was partitioned. He never renamed anything caparo it was a new entity to begin with. However he belongs to the apeejay family so I didn't want to remove that since it helps him with his India operations. Hariyali (talk) 18:56, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If it can't be verified, it doesn't belong on Wikipedia. Especially not on a living person's page -- see WP:BLP. I will be removing unsourced material. BrainyBabe (talk) 20:08, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
