Speedy deletion of Zoor[edit]

A tag has been placed on Zoor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Merenta (talk) 17:20, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Zoor. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. — ERcheck (talk) 17:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

April 2008[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Yellow Pages. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Versageek 03:37, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 05:25, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Zoor[edit]

You recently left this message on my talk page:

Sir or Madam, please see my website http://zoor.biz, this is the best yellow pages of Pakistan, at least allow me to add link in yellow pages article and commerce and industry articles regarding Pakistan and Karachi, it is 100% relevant believe me my brother or sister.

It appears that you are desiring to use Wikipedia to promote your website Zoor. As such, you have misunderstood the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia. Fundamentally, Wikipedia is not to be used to promote a website/business. Please review the following articles:

  1. Self-promotion: "It can be tempting to write about yourself or projects you have a strong personal involvement in." This presents a conflict of interest.
  2. Advertising:
  • External link spamming: "Adding external links to an article or user page for the purpose of promoting a website or a product is not allowed, and is considered to be spam."
